One way to do it will be to give the side with less players resource bonuses. Another way is to not let it happen... We'll have to see.

well if u give one team a better avantage then everyone would go to the good team. but maybe we should do random choosing. but that has a porblem too i gusse.

That's the point, once players start going to the other team, the bonuses go away.

There's going to be massive problems with team stacking...

i dont think there will. the battles will still only have the same amount of players in, and if there will be bonuses for the lesser team then it will get rid of the advantage of more players having armies as the lesser team will have bette slightly better ones.

Or we just make the teams even. Most players don't care which side they are on so it's not a big deal.

Like I said, if it becomes an issue, there are many ways we can deal with it. I'm not expecting it to be an issue.

There's two types of team stacking, (sorry for the misunderstanding)
1: When more people join one side than another side. This, of course, as many obvious problems.
2: When skilled players all join one side and noobs populate the other side. This is much harder to balance, since both teams are equal in team size, but have vastly different skill levels (think CS clan servers).
I was talking about option 2...
*edit* Oh. this thread is about option 1. I see.

Also wars wont last ages so people will get plenty of opportunities to swap sides so they can enjoy both in the long run.

How many "turns" do you plan the wars to last? Approximately speaking...

I'm pretty sure it'll just have to balance out, otherwise playing will be annoying. Players on the allied team will be completely overrun every turn by huge numbers of axis companies, it would be no fun. Allies have their own advantages and play style that stays the same throughout company of heroes, proper balancing online should do the trick. If it still isn't happening I'm sure the campaign can be "manually balanced" at the start of each round by randomly assigning the players to teams.

I am new member of the board and also a member of Easy Company clan.
I would pretty much bet that if you want clan participation, team formation taking this into account would be beneficial. Hs anyone given any thought to this?

It has been mentioned before and it might indeed be a good thing to take clan participation in consideration when setting up the teams. But we haven't really gone into detail on this yet as currently there's ofcourse a whole list of other things that we are working on . But it's a good thing you remind us by bringing it up here! Also, welcome aboard!

We definitely want to support clans, however it's important the clans aren't all bunched up on one side of the war.

I fully understand the concern. If the format and execution of the concept are acceptable, I can assure you that Easy Company will participate. Currently, we have 49 members and growing weekly. I would estimate that at least 15 of us would participate. We would prefer to fight on the same side, either US or German. If there are other clans that become interested in participation, place them in opposition.

It's definitely one of the top priorities in team creation.
