MP44.
MP44 and FG42 are very similer in stats, but MP44 is superior for a assault. FG42 is better for medium-long range combat, but still can do a ton of damage to a squad at short when not moving.

everybody knows fg42 is better in ambush but as a normal gun. mp44 better
