god i love this mod but i am having so many problems with the base game, and the base game IS Amazeing as well but i cant play without crashing 50% of the time, on top of that i cant play with friends\Family

Routers are generally the things that fuck up your connection in online games, so yes, Direct Connect is acceptable.

You must realize that Marine's vocabulary is half made up of insults. You can't say many things without him calling you something. Just, get used to it, I suppose. I have.

Half of the time most of you people either offer a stupid and sarcastic response, i.e. Days of War, or one that is incredibly unhelpful, i.e. WarBirds. That's probably what makes Marine's vocabulary when talking to you become made out of curse words.  However, Marine ought to try to learn patience and how to spell various words.

In any case Marine,  if you don't have the latest Nvidia drivers (163.71, HERE http://www.nvidia.com/object/winvista_x86_163.71.html) I'd recommend you get those installed as soon as humanly possible. Also, be sure to uninstall the old drivers via control panel, reboot to safe mode, THEN install the new drivers, preferably after using a driver cleaner from guru3d. There were also several windows vista hotfixes for this problem, but they haven't eradicated  it yet. I still have the 'display driver has recovered' error on occasion, but its very rare and almost directly related to running dx9 apps extensively, then running a dx10 app.

As for your connection issues, those sound unfortunate, but without solution until your friend either DMZ's his router or disables his firewall. If you're using vista, be sure to disable the tyrannical firewall.

And WarBirds, you sound like a stupid Mac user saying that Vista is rubbish. I'll bet you've never even used it.

dmz only works for one computer..not two..and besides many of u forget that most computer users dont know how to set up a static Ip for DMZ to work...

You don't necessarily need a static IP for DMZ to work. I'm on a DMZ and I've got a dynamic IP, but it rarely changes. Any time I have connection issues I'm quick to head to ipconfig to make sure those last three digits on my IPv4 address are correct in my DMZ. Usually that's the case, and I adjust and connect again.

Bonte, most computer users don't know how to hook up a printer, much less what a router is. Thus, there are businesses that seriously make money doing that stuff. It's hilarious imho, people should really learn how to do their own things.

lol i used to help a friend make hunting videos..i got payed $20 bucks an hour to watch 80+ hours of video a week and make it into clips...until he decided he wanted to learn to do it himself...i came over to check on him...he had about3 good clips and the rest of the video he tried saving was either black or in fast forward...he plugged his camera in and then turned it on x50 speed thinking it stored the data digitally but actually its much like a vcr so he had about 40 hours of fast forward vcr video with static on the top and bottem lol

I agree with him, I've tried it, and through the IT department at the University where my mom works I can get it for free.  However, it has a tendency to be a memory hog, to severely fuck up any SLi or Crossfire, and it is very overprotective of the system you are working on making it that much more difficult to get online games that are already problematic (read: CoH) to work.  Yes, you can fix that specific issue, but you're better off with XP at that point, because without the heavy-handed security, you're asking to get the various security bugs that Microsoft has a tendency to have.
