Thanks now to the most recent update 7.0.1407, which discloses what process it is that gets block.

Before I could not figure out what process it was that made it so that i had to entirely disable the Real time Sheild - web shield.

So what you do is you go into expert settings - > Exclusions -> then in URLS to exclude you type: http://64.79.205.72:8081/service/EIRRService.asmx

Okey so i definitely think i got it sorted.

you add 3 more things ^^ Now i haven't noticed anything yet... but i have had games and the chat seems to update fine.

apart from the above mentioned http: address, add: http://64.79.205.72/updater/updater.txt to the exclusions.

Lower down in same area you add in the exclusion tab: C:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\company of heroes\AutoUpdater.exe (or what ever directory you have the auto updater in)

Also after this you go back to the overview protection status, and select Network shield, there you also add the directory for where your auto updater is located, this should fix the issues with Avast

I would if that file showed in the logg, but the nifty thing about the new avast, is that you can watch what processes in the real time protection reacts and to what file it reacted to, and so far the eir launcher has not been among them ^^
