I dont get it, everything can counter Flame HTs? Tank destroyers, medium armor, light vehicles, AT guns, handheld ATGS and even small arms fire can damage them. I don't quite see what the problem is.

It's called the surprise-effect. If your unprepared it kicks totally your ass.

Lol, the "surprise effect" is the ONLY thing that the halftrack is moderately capable of achieving. It mostly fails terribly because most players can see it coming and or know how to rape the snot out of it.

ADDED: Easiest way to rape the snot out of it: any moving object with a weapon on it that shoots bullets. Also allied players can mimic this tactic with .50 halftracks, which can benefit from Next Gen godly buffs.
