I would say this takes more skill than most commercial sports these days, you need to be able to ride (albiet only in one direction), keep your lance steady and on target and be able to take some really strong hits. |

I would say this takes more skill than most commercial sprots these days, you need to be able to ride (albiet only in one direction), keep your lance steady and on target and be able to take some really strong hits.
Not to mention being hampered by 50+ pounds of hot stuffy armor, and being able to take punishment and still keep your lance steady after getting hit HARD over 8 rounds |

There would be thousands of applicants. Just connect the suicide hotlines to the colosseum headquarters and also all the idiots who'd be willing to die for fame (like the ones who participate in shows like Fear Factor).

well,I still think that it would be good idea,for those that are about to face death penalty or life time in prison,if they wanna die in arena,why not?! They are gonna die either way,only this way can potentially bring you more pain,but also more fame + you will be well known world wide. State could profit rly well from this $$.
