Basically, my computer has become completely screwed and fixing it may or may not involve deleting everything and installing windows again.

I will try to keep posting on the forums from my other computer.

Looks like I'm gonna miss the start of the war AGAIN.

Its just CoH and some other programmes which are screwed. I tried reinstalling but got the same problem. I can still work on my skins so I'm happy. Might need you to take screenshots though.  Wink

Thanks for the offer Saint.

Basically I put a new graphics card and some more RAM into my PC and ever since programmes like FireFox, IE and CoH (just a few examples) have started randomly switching off.

I put my old card back in and installed the old drivers and the same problems still happen. Angry

Oh yeah, and it just turns off sometimes.

RAM is the same type as old RAM. Haven't tried safe mode.

So programs randomly crash.  Can you describe the crash?  Error message, a crash to desktop, a hard lockup, a comp reboot etc?

And by "it just switches off" do you mean the entire computer shuts down?  Are there error messages?  Does it happen at a specific time (e.g. while running certain programs?)

God dammit it did it just then and I need to retype my reply Angry

It comes up with a 'Program X had to be unexpectedly shut down. Would you like to send an error report.'

When it crashes the screen goes black then the computer starts up again about 5 seconds later.

I'm formating my C drive anyway. Hopefully that should fix it.
