yea,cuz of the scatter,you move and end up dead because of pure luck. Also,it's not like they dont have other off maps

Yes, because I want to be able to rely on pure luck to nab that mortar that be raping my my emplacements, that the axis player probably has a few more.
And yes, offmaps can be used, there in limited supply, need LOS as well. Can be dodged too.

yea,everyone has 3-4 mortars in coy
Off maps can do tremendous dmg,and they are quite easily spammed. And no,you cant dodge them all the time. LOS isnt rly problem,it's not that brit player is unable to get it.

Actually, I'd be surprised if anyone ran over 3 mortars. I usually run 2 with my Axis companies.
I wasn't stating they can't do anything. Off maps can be pretty easily spammed, but if your looking out for them, thier easy to dodge.
What I'm trying to say is, that brit arty and off maps
can
counter an axis mortar, but there not reliable enough before the mortar could nab your emplacements, Say you 25 or offmaps miss the mortar. The mortar now has a brief window of opportunity to destroy your emplacements. 20 to 30 secs should be enough time to take one down. Now, as a brit player, your on the back foot. The axis player now knows you have arty and offmaps. So he should be prepared to dodge them. And shall be actively seeking your arty. And you may have lost a few emplacements too.
As I said, you can't just rely on pot luck to nab the mortar.

so you are saying,axis mortar is enough to counter a lot of things brit can throw at you. He cant arty you because you will move,he can destroy their emplacements. Of course,you have something in front of your mortar,so he cant kill it with infantry or tanks,and yet he can kill their infantry. I should definitely start to spam mortars.

Seriously. I'm saying that you can just Arty an axis mortar, but what if it misses? The Axis player now has the upper hand with this scenario. You can't rely on the pot luck of a shell nabbing that tasty mortar that's destroying your emplacements.
If you spammed mortars, your company would lack support weapons and munitions for everything else. That's why you wouldn't spam mortars.

while mortar dodges arty,emplacement can be relocated and healed again. And they are dirt cheap,so mortar would have to kill several to pay it's cost. While on the other hand,with a bit of luck,brit can deny you your mortar for good.
I am just saying that you cant rely on 1-2 mortars in your coy to take care of numerous easily spammed mg nests.

Tear down time of an emplacement is 30 secs, mortars will kill it in that time. Even if the arty starts up, move, after the barrage you have 2 mins, or less to find the crew or new emplacement location ad kill it. in that time, area denial weapon is gone. If there's more than one, start hitting the next emplacement.
Not everyone carriers 25 pounders in there company either.
And mortars are never the only way to get rid of the emplacements either. But that ain't whet we are discussing.
