I played beta, it was Junk. Just a lot of over hype and fanboy stubborness.
They pretty much force you to play one way, with limited customization of your character. Wasn't even that fun in a group, combined with the terrible launch i will ignore it from now on.

Ouch, some harsh words. I remain skeptical of the game, I will try it at a couple of my buddies houses. The linearity (if thats a word) turns me off, as well as the fact of no open world pvp. I'm not a huge co-op guy, I like to kill others lol. Seems like a formulaic beat story mode and repeat, play arena matches and repeat, and thats it... Kind of sad considering the nearly 11 year wait. I hope it proves me wrong and spices things up. |

Are you complaining that they set it up the same way they set up Diablo 1 and Diablo 2...? I'm pretty sure they were wildly popular for a reason, why break what isn't broken by making everything open world? Did you even play the first two diablos?

yupppp. Fanboys hyping the game and giving it BS scores. Its like you played MW1. Ah ok its fun a bit repetitive. But ok. Part 2 hits and your like WTF its the same crap ill pass. 5 titles later people are still praising it and you have no idea why. |

I guess you missed the whole mindless click fest with instant health potion regen. Same reason why i hate 99% of MMORPGs out there. COH is strategic. Move a unit there or there instead of there means fail. Maybe if i rolled with heavy axis units it could mindless fun w/ health regen.  But honestly dont know how or why you compared Diablo faults to EIRR. Again another BS response from a Diablo fanboy.... Unless you were being sarcastic. If not its like talking sense into a COD fanboy who bought MW1,2,3 Black ops, etc etc. |

The fact that they "Streamlined" the skill tree is enough for me to not even touch it.
But I have a better reason, always online DRM even worse than the one in the ubi games... YOU CAN GET FUCKING "LAG" IN YOUR SINGLE PLAYER GAME WHILE YOU CATCH UP TO THE FUCKING SERVER.
Blizzard are fucking assholes, and people will suck it up because its fucking blizzard.

Yea the singleplayer on the internet deal is pretty fucking infuriating.
The skill tree argument is bogus tbh, if you actually think about it, you generally only got 2 - 3 skills in your average diablo 2 build as well, you just had to put 1 point in transitional skills. There's a lot more 'differentiation' now between players, since all builds are supposed to be viable.

I just have a great love for stats tbh  Still, the internet singleplayer is enough for me to never touch that game. Thing is, people say it's because they need to make sure people dont cheat their "cash market"... Pretty bullcrappy as I'm sure they could just allow people to make "Offline Characthers" or something along those lines if they really felt like it. |

Got 15 hours clocked in and am at start of act 4 with wizard on lvl 31.
Good game, gameplay + mechanics = diablo 2. Art style and story diablo 2 + 1.
Skill system is better than diablo 2, there is more customization.
After beta i'd give it a 6/10 but the most of the features pop in at act 2 and 3 and when you hit lvl 20 +(and beta was like 1/10 of act1). So right now i'm giving it 8/10.
I hear that on higher diff levels the areas get even bigger many new diff monsters and in inferno there are some extra bonuses for phaat lewt. So i might give it even 9/10 when i get to inferno.
