These sockets are very new and the newest chipsets which support the FX-6100 and the cheaper ons don't have a IDE port for older P-ATA drives. So you need to buy a optical disk drive with a S-ATA interface. (Take the cheapest one from Samsung you can get)

You can pay more money for a mainboard with a P-ATA interface, but for this money you could buy a new optical disk drive for the future.

All my Mainboards in the past were GIGABYTE mainboards and I would be in your situation I would buy the GIGABYTE GA970-UD3
 - It has 8 USB ports
 - 1x PS-2 Port (I hope your keyboad or mouse have at least one usb connector)
 - 7.1 Onboard soundcard
 - Can carry up to 32Gbyte RAM
 - And it's FX compatible

In the computer shop were I normally buy my PC stuff it has 62 voting, 59 of them got 4/5 from 5 stars, and just two comments rate this mainboard
with 1x 3 stars and 1x 1 star. You can be pretty sure that this is a nice mainboard.

But make sure you got the BIOS Version F3, all versions beyond this will not detect the new bulldozer CPU.
