Remove the Camelbak stiching logo from the carrier. I don't know how well their darkening holds up. but I took matte black electrical tape to every surface.

Is there some kind of rule about needing red 'HIT ME' strips on your face mask? cause I'd take something to those too.

Do you really need armoured gloves? They completely destroy your dexterity and will further ruin any fine mototr skills you start to loose when your BP jumps.

The vest looks fine for paintball. If you've got cash to spend on simple efficiency items look into a mag dump pouch. maybe not as important for Paintball bug they certainly help when you're running alot.

I play paintball with co-workers every now and then. It's not bad, but it's not Simunition either. That shit draws blood and you actually have a healthier respect for a Paint tipped round that's fired like a real bullet

Also, Airsoft is pretty panzy. Weapons holding pellets into the Thousands. You're all running around like a John Woo movie. The only reason I'd do Airsoft is because it's cheaper.

shh, no airsoft/paintball which is better here please, is just childish behaviour to discuss such things.

On the field i play on, its not really woodsball, so blending in your surroundings is really not possible at all so i bought the red paintball mask to be seen on purpose Smiley And i have to wear a red shemagh signifying my faction and 2 red armbands signifying my platoon (bravo) so blending into the surroundings isnt on my mind, but i want to be seen tbh.

The armoured gloves cut before your fingers so it is easy to pull the trigger but protect your knuckles and hand and such. i just dont want to break a finger cuz my hands are obviously important to me Wink

Me

But last time I was in a event was a smaller sized (for american PB standards) Red Dawn event. Russians have 2 helicopters(Not real obviously) americans have 2 tanks.
Heres a american tank that was used

You need a nerf rocket launcher to take him out.

There were multiple classes, like engineer(Suicidal C4 Engies are aloud), medic, sniper, spec ops(Get to leave the field and flank) and so on. Basicly your object was to complete as many missions as possible for your team to earn overall points. The objectives ranged from small point ones like patrol this area, to repairing a bridge that was just blown up by the enemy engineers. The missions were handed out by our respective commanders at thier home base. At the last day of the event, there was the final battle, which was a quick way for a team to gain points.

Was a varied piece of land, with castles, a speedball field, and lots of heavy forest to fight over.

Here is where I was chilling at base waiting for a new mission then these fucking americans throw a smoke grenade and do a flanking maneuver. The picture doesnt show the 10 other russians and the 10-15 americans doing the attack.

You KNOW shit is not going well if the enemy broke through the front lines and is at your base shooting at your commander.

Heres the final battle.

Is that you next to the american tank Darksoldier?

Your event sounds hella fun man, ill show you the fields that we play on a regular basis, but for this event, instead of 'fields' we are playing the whole 120 acres, like a battlefield 2 style gameplay, just like you, have command posts and such.

In our event we have small fixed objectives, holding cap zones, and points for troops painted i think it was 50 for troops, 100 for NCOs and 200 for commanders and it could be 500 for the general. they have morning, afternoon and night sessions, i am not attending the night session cuz i believe id be fairly tired by the afternoon haha.

Ill get photos of the regular fixed fields we play on soon. let me grab em.

Oh and airsoft pictures, videos, gear, experience is welcomed here to!

Just no childish *WHO IS BETTER* discussion pleeaase, id ask you kindly to make a new thread for that Smiley

Cbb getting the larger facebook photos so i just grabbed the small pictures from their websites showing most of the fixed fields.
Some explanation, the blue helmets signify the UN. That is one of the factions
The red shemagh is the Rebel faction
and the green beret is the government faction

We were meant to be in gov forces but was put in rebels, didnt matter cuz that suited my facemask! Cheesy

Actually I am the guy laying on the ground in the 2nd picture, and the guy shooting around the corner from kneeling 3rd picture. That event was 2 years ago though. I look pretty much the same though +10-20 pounds.

Edit: I like how organized your event looks. Ours is much less serious looking. But thats obviously because your event is the largest in all of the Australia Cheesy

But yeah it seems its hard to camo in with any of that. Our forest areas are great to camo in.

Oh, and on our event, you wern't required to wear team identification colors. You were actually aloud to pose as a spy(No class needed, a simple grunt can try to spy) and try to sneak into the enemy base and kill as many as you can. Although, the teams were aloud to have checkpoints were people had to show their papers or submit to the melee check. The melee check is when the guard "bayonets you" and if your enemy you are dead, and if your friendly it does nothing to you.

I prefer airsoft, but paintball can be just as much fun!

btw how does a sniper class work in paintball? I mean...the weapons are pretty standardised, I've never seen anything even remotely resembling a sniper.

I would also like to add I watch fox news everyday all day and will continue to watch it while being proud of that fact. I'm sure you enjoy your communist news network just as much.

haha yeah, no camo needed, only added identification that we are paying extra for is the red armbands signifying our platoon (There is 4 platoons in our faction), i m paying gladly for that priveledge hehe.

Yeah the organisers at this area are very good, very down to earth friendly people to make sure you are getting your moneys worth. It is kinda expensive, but the experience is fantastic and so i choosed to have that as my hobby.

LOL Bayonet you thats great haha.

Well sach there is really no sniper in paintball, you cannot change the speed on how your ball travels, there a safety on how far it can go, cant rememeber but its capped at 300 ft/s. any higher then that and you will not be able to play, caught increasing your speed on the field and you earn a ban haha.
So if you want to be a sniper, you can buy a scope to put on a rail.

But at this event, due to the Australian firearms registry, no marker can resemble any real firearm or have any added mods to the marker itself. Its just some Australians ensuring the safety of there fellow aussies, even though they have interpretation of the regulations is extreme, they do it in good faith. Some proper lobying and more public exposure can lift this very very heavy restrictions, but all in all, im still glad to play.

I also assume the council who made these regulations are of a very mature age and dont want to encourage a culture of firearms and war enthusiasts in australia, but thats going off topic

Paintball is a lotta fun.  I played in a big event at this place http://www.waynes-world.com/wwopen.html 5 or 6 years ago.  Was a blast.  Haven't played in a year or so though.

Oh and dark, i dont know how your armies are run but this is how ours is run.

Its a hierarchy. Every faction has a general, he creates the battle plans and passes the correct information down to the 4 platoon lieutenants (Alpha,Bravo,Charlie,HQ) Every platoon commander except the HQ platoon is in charge of coordinating 3 sections (Bravo section 1, Bravo Section 2, Bravo section 3) Every section has 1 sergent to recieve this information and carry out the battle plans.

n my section (10 of us) we all know eachother, i hope to be the squad leader of the section, or the corporal hehe. but anyways this discussion is exciting me more haha

Used to play airsoft for 4-5 years, spent quite a bit of cash on it. Then it became much more avaiable to people with cheap china replicas, bunch of idiots came, guy's who think that playing with plastic pellets makes them special forces, specially if you buy true gear. Then I stopped, too big concentration of idiots on one place...
