I have always thought it fit great into a starting call in as you don't know what you are facing, but after that your resources are just better spent for a more focused unit.

Which keeps him away from your TD/ATGs with armor units so they can use their range, crazy how that works right. |

Regardless, Full Package is a bad option. It loses its AI first so if it gets rushed by heavy assault infantry it is at a severe disadvantage, you're paying a BUTT LOAD of munitions for it as well as it's pool value being through the roof (I believe it's over 9 pool). Regardless, it's better and far cheaper and more effective to take 2 ranger squads - 1 with zooks and 1 with SMGs.

Incorrect, whichever soldier dies, that's the weapon you lose. They're all "heavy" weapons, and as such, they take up slots. All heavy weapons have the same priority, thus they will never shift between soldiers. It's perfectly possible to lose 2 rangers and have 4 SMG's left. |

Even still, it's a terrible buy. How many people out there put double shrek on grens? Practically no one unless you've used all your MUNI on mass single shrek grens. My blitz company alone has 15 shreks squads (singles) and tons of storms. I have no incentive to waste more muni to sink into a squad to make it more vulnerable to takes (losing 3 guys before the shrek is endangered as opposed to losing 2 guys and endangering and risking the loss of 2 shreks).
For Rangers, doing full package means you got ZERO buffer, you pay MORE for it and lose more effectiveness quicker. Using a standard 6 man ranger with 4 SMGs means I see no real DPS drop until I lose the 3rd guy. In a full packge (assuming I don't lose the zooks first), you lose AI power immediately, which is the more expensive option.
Also, I disagree that the SMG and Zooks are the same priority. Once you get the +1 SMG, you lose a zook and SMGs take precedent over all weapons (picking up a shrek with a 5 man 5 SMG squad will NOT give you a shrek, it's 'lost' to the squad).

I wouldn't, and there really isn't anyone who uses full package unless you're a fool. I see full package Rangers and I rush them with infantry knowing he loses more Muni for a less effective squad.
