50mm HT vs Marder
«

Now that we have the M-18 and the M-10's role fleshed out more, next we need to work on the 50MM Halftrack (pak on wheels) and the Marder.
At the moment, they're VERY similar in their roles, similar damage etc. but one is armor pool and one is support pool, one costs munitions with a lil fuel, the other medium fuel.
So the question is, should there be a change somewhere?
(btw i'm pulling this stuff off Unit Price List, if its diff in launcher i'll change it)
50mm AT Halftrack
300 mp
110 mu
50 fu
5 pop
5 pool
180 vet modifer
Marder
300 mp
0 mu
150 fu
6 pop
9 pool
150 vet modifier.

Dafuq man, don't ask for proof if you'll refuse it if it's not in your favor, logic fallacy for the bloody win.

50ml needs a lower fuel cost. It dies to just about everything, its a pak with more downsides.

It needs a lower MU cost. Nobody is gonna pay 100MU for that when you can get Marders for 0 MU.

I stated the differences in mu and fu because I knew someone like you would say something about it if I didn't put it but I guess you never read that far.

Good points Tym, this issue is already slated to be addressed by the BT. Likely the 50mm will fulfill a light/medium AT role where the Marder will fulfill a medium/heavy role. That said, everything is on the table at the moment and nothing had really been discussed.

I like that idea, however, doesn't the LAT already fulfill a light/medium at role? It's good vs anything that's not armored and it can also cripple and has focus fire.
One idea could be to change 50mm back to being able to fire on the move but at a lower range and accuracy (think its 60 now, 45-50 would be good), that way it can move with the more mobile PE vehicles and still provide good AT while the more non mobile pe player can use the marder as a long ranged AT weapon that doesn't move but provides a higher range and punch.

50 mm isn't that bad. I kinda like it at times, due to the fact its easier to run two of them and they can fuck up vehicles quite badly, and will do a number on a Sherman (two can even scare a pershing) just the same as an uncloaked pak will you just bounce every now and then (just as a pak will).
I have even got quite a few vetted as others who use them have, and they become beastly.
