G43 does currently not stand out enough. It's boring, dumb and mostly pointless.
Okay, so you buy these rifles and if you zoom in 10000% you can see the little scope.
There we have established that they are visually boring.

Other than that it does little other than buff your accuracy abit and your overall dps.
We added the bar supression type of ability for the g43, making it even more bland.

What I would propose is to make this weapon a actual decision. Make it a true long range weapon.

Up it's damage to 17-20, give a high long range accuracy (0.5) and make it fire significantly slower and not on the move. Make it's accuracy higher at medium (0.7) but make it's short range weaker than both of them (0.3)

In addition, a big hole in the PE arsenal is that it lacks infantry small arms suited to fighting elite and airborne inf armor types. Give it a modifier vs this so that you can deploy these squads in front of your PE squishy vehicles to cause casualities to rangers and airborne who just ignore your panzergrenadier squads as they hit'n run before they heal up at triage.

Up price to something like 110, a moderately high pool cost and remove the slow ability.

This would make the g43 upgrade a unique and different weapon upgrade instead of just a bland comb-over of the kar98 for PE.

the idea is not for the weapon to have higher dps, but to deal that damage in bigger amounts (bursts) so that its more lethal to get within range of them for potshots

G43s work just fine...I've had little problems getting effective use out of them on my 4 SE companies.  Perhaps you just want your G43 falls back that got ridiculous ambush bonuses, were invisible, and killed everything in one shot?  Yea, that'd be fuckin awesome, but its not happening.  G43s are balanced as is.  Stop making ridiculous balance threads b/c your company doesn't insta-roll everything.

its not a balance thread, g43 are "fine" atm but they are a boring copy of bars with little unique role

PE isn't made for long range campy gameplay. you got WM for that. get some ACs and support. flank the infantry and kill them completely, or rush the triage.

G43s are nice, the problem is that Assault Grenadiers are pretty bad.

Funny how G43s are a 'copy of BAR's when the real copy of them (scoped MP44s) are rediculously OP for their price.

G43's are fine, they're the cheapest gun upgrade AND they get suppression fire that btw, still allows the squad to do good damage against the squad they've suppressed.

so, it's basically been out classed by upgrades, sounds about right.

If my T3 abilty and unlock couldn't beat G43's, then they wouldn't be worth it.

G43's have no role, their supression ability is really weak. Why can't we make this a unique upgrade?

i agree with smokaz, it needs to stand out like all weapon upgrades, we tried to make it into a BAR but it didnt really work becuase rifleman are only used for capping and if you ever have to fight them, their there to die rather then fight, the units that do the fighting are rangers and airbourne, and those dudes will kick the shit out of your poor g43s anyday of the week.

I would be inclined to agree with smokers on this one as well. You just don't really feel a good amount of difference in this weapon compared to a non upgraded squad.

Assualt grens are overpriced and should come with elite armor for 100 muni's.

they have a role, suppression fire is just a nice bonus, its not the main feature. It got toned down because SF is an insta-win button that has no place in EIR since retreating means end of unit...tbh bars and g43s should both lose SF...
