I was just curious to know if EiR Was compatible with a steam version, now why I bought a game off steam, I don't know why. Worst decision of my life. But I was wondering if I could get an answer from someone who was a bit more savy with EiR, and if not I'll try it myself and see what happens. I also realize that it was just released as an alpha version, so don't eat my face off for asking.

It is possible... Let me dig up the information.

Ok...  I believe you can install it like normal.  At least try, using the EIR_Setup.exe:

Tell me what directory it tries to install the game to... if it looks like a COH directory, go ahead and install it.  Try running the shortcuts it creates... If that doesn't work, let me know.

Well, it loaded into the chat/join battle interface fine, the background is all white, and the Icon for it is the Yellow Triangle with the Black Exclamation Mark, but maybe that's how it is supposed to be.

Well, that looks like the launcher... you should have another icon to load the Game/Mod can you try it?

Well, I double clicked on the EiR Icon, and it launched the normally, selected my profile, and then brought me to the normal screen, where I am currently.

Okay, slick on Skirmish, and see if the Game Type (where you normally select VP or Annihilation) says Europe In Ruins VP.

No, unfortunatley that option isn't there in the normal skirmish... in multiplayer skirmish too.

Okay, on the shortcut you ran, right click and select properties and copy+paste the Target box to me.

Do you have an old version of the mod?  That .EXE is not used anymore.

Yes I did, should I try to un-install and then re-install?

Yes, definitely uninstall and re-install...

I just un-installed, and then re-installed EiR, and same problem, can't find the game, Checked the target box and for some reason it's the same box.

What happens when you run the EIR_Launcher shortcut? Does it try to update the modification?

No it doesn't, but I don't think it's fully un-installing either. I just dug into my steam files and some files with EiR In the name were still there. Is there any other files, I deleted 3 (EuropeinRuinsMod.exe)(EiR_Launcher)(Europeinruisnmod.dll) Is there any other files I should delete? After such I'm going to try re-installing.

And no, when I try and run the launcher, it doesn't update.
