I am initiating new players into the game by giving them their baptism of fire, something more veteran players should do. I answer their questions and give them advice on what to do better.

Blitzing New players isn't a good way to keep them interest in the Mod.

Well, if people lose wouldn't it actually inspire them to become stronger? I'd say this inspires everyone to kill Apex  Grin

Poor new players.

Instead of playing 1vs1 again PLEASE show them Europe in Ruins in a 2vs2 instead.
They'll learn a lot more from that and teamgames are where all the fun in the mod is at.

+ they won't get bashed as hard by one "skilled" player as they'll have a teammate to support them.

I am initiating new players into the game by giving them their baptism of fire, something more veteran players should do. I answer their questions and give them advice on what to do better.

i taught a lot of the now older players how to play this mod by doing just that.

i didn't go out of my way to destroy them, but I also didn't go out of my way to go easy on them.  I would tell them when I would think of retreating, allowing them to learn when its best.  I would tell them what i had on the field and possible counters .. I would walk them through force set up and purchacing choices...

then I would beat the crap out of them again in another game and further instruct how they can improve.  going over their force set up again, showing WHY it needed to be changed in the first place is a great way to teach them.

I  did use my main force for these, i gained vetrency off of it (you think i would do it for free? kick yourself in the ass now and keep walking. Basically taught them over the period of 3 games what NOT to do.  This is a very important thing to do for players, and noob killer or not, i gave those people the only fighting chance they ultimately had at learning this game in a manner that actually helped.

do you want me to list most of them, its well over 10-12 players who you all know and love now a days.  THATS A LOT OF TIME going over things with someone who has no clue what they are doing.

you should all be ashamed of yourselfs for herassing one of the few players who is willing to help you learn.

the problem is unless both teams have a new player the 2 v 2 is useless for trying that out, because who ever is the new players team mate is just going to lose and potentially lose actual units trying to make up the difference.

its not conducive to anything, and ultimately is not a viable teaching tool unless there are two players on different factions learning to play.

Once the war map comes out, having a nice score really doesn't matter anymore. If you want practice, just play vCoH or start an EIR game and abandon the battle and then play.

the score ultimately never mattered anyways, unless your a useless number cruncher.

its about not losing your vet units... Smiley

abandoning is the way to go, but then your ultimately giving a lot of time up for nothing.  no fun, no reward, frusteration up the butt.  It usually takes a few hours to play the first 3 games as usually the mod doesn't even run on its first load due to incorrect installations.... or use to not Smiley
