Over 3000 lines of SCAR split into 7 different files...

We are extremely close to launching our next test... If you are interested in participating, be sure you let us know in the forums...

What this test entails:

* Registration for the war done via the website. This includes selecting your division name, your doctrine, and your side (Axis or Allies).

* Company creation. You can build up to five separate companies to take into battle. All player companies will have the same amount of resources allocated to them for purchases.

* Platoons. Breakdown your company into platoons to call into the battle when needed. Create Recon platoons to determine your enemies strength and weaknesses, then call in the reinforcements to annihilate them.

* Battle Initiation. Challenge others to a battle using your favorite company. Up to 4v4 matches with your units transferred into the game via a battle-file download.

* Delayed Deployment. Create custom scenarios where the attackers arrive later in the game, or perhaps your partner arrives at a certain point in the game to assist you.

* Two Objectives. Attack/Defend and Neutral Territory.

I'm interested, but I don't know how much time I actually will get to play in the week. My schedule is very random, so I have problems there. And finally, what time does testing take place?

Generally, anytime you want.  There are members from all over the world registered on the forums.  It's just a matter of getting with them and playing.

We have an IRC channel to facilitate this and we also will be exchanging XFire ID's...

I'd like to be considered please.

Incidentally fldash, the Advanced AI mod I was going on about on the relic forums - after using it, it only seemed easy to beat on 'easy'. on 'Normal' they were predicatbly everywhere - I ended up being forced into an area of the  map that I tuned into a square for defence, with an MG on each corner, a team of engineers behind the bullet screen occaisionally venturing out to repair my M10. The AI seemed to attack from multiple vectors and was very irritating as you could never finish a squad off - he would always retreat his men. Eventually I ran out of time searching high an low across the map for one or two enemy squads with only 1 or 2 men in it - bit annoying when I still had 3 MG teams, an M10 and 2 eng. squads!

Still, the way it forced me into setting up a base perimeter was quite impressive.

Pre-using the advanced AI mod, the 'normal' level AI was beatable fairly easily, and 'hard' was tough - so it seems to have moved the toughless level up one.

I was interested in using the advanced AI with this as if effectively negates the AI massive resource bonus (i.e. letting it cheat to offset sloppy AI programming).

Though this is off-topic, I find this to be true:

In EiR, always have around two squads (they can be depleted squads of anything) camping the opponent's entry point. That way, when wounded units retreat to thier entry point...

This tactic makes games much easier to win. In fact, when playing as Allies, this strategy is necessary; Vet1 Axis infantry heal over time, making retreating KCH/storms(?) almost invincible if microed right. When playing Axis, simply park one KCH next to the Allied entry point. Watch for tanks.
