Figured I'd stop by and say hello. Just started playing a three days ago, loving and hating the beaufighter vlc. Dropping in behind people from 3km up and perforating them with the hispano cannons is hysterical with the amount of rage it generates but its turning ability makes me weep. Good tip on historical battles, I'm racking up experience pretty fast when I'm in a match with decent tiers. Hopefully they change it back to Brits soon, currently trying Russians and not enjoying them.

So, after the patch:
-The .50 cals seem to be nerfed all to hell. No matter what type of belt you load them with they seem to do bupkis even to paperweight japanese planes with the new damage model.
-The happy little Brewster Buffalo is no longer airworthy. Over 500 KMH and pitch control goes out the window.
-The F4F-4 Wildcat, for some godforsaken reason, is still Tier 7. It is inferior to the F6F-3/5 Hellcat in every capacity, and was in fact replaced by the Hellcat at the outset of 1943 at the end of the Solomons campaign. Yet somehow, the Hellcat, which is the superlative aircraft that can carry three times as much explosive ordnance and survive far more punishment, is a tier lower and one third the cost of the Wildcat. GG Gaijin.
-The Catalina also got the shaft. With such limited weapon traverse, bombs being nerfed, and the new damage model taking away its flying brick HP qualities, the 'Cat now serves as little more than flying XP.
-The B-25J-1...just wow. I've only test flown it, but the thing is practically a Tier ?5 B-17. Datdatdat defensive armament just makes it a mini flying fortress; 5 nose MGs aren't half bad either. Oh, and it can carry 4x 500 lb bombs and 8x 100 pound bombs WITHOUT HAVING TO RESEARCH BOMB RACKS. Wat??
-The economy...well, I can't agree with AmPm. It's too grindy for those who can't/won't shell out cash. If you don't have the raw time to dedicate to the game to become godly (or you don't use a lelmouse for laser accurate aiming) you can't make enough of a profit to really enjoy the game. It took me ~2 hours of playing as the Americans and getting 5-7/0-4 K/D games to make about 2500 lions in arcade battles. Unless you attack ground targets exclusively you're boned.
-@ Nikomas, attacking ground targets generally keeps you close to the ground and squanders your energy advantave over enemy fighters, hence your crappy K/D ratio in the Hellcat vs other players. Yes, it's great to fly 3 feet off the ground and pound the poor defenseless baby seal ground targets, but focusing on the grind and "I muzt top the leaderboard!!" takes away any semblance of fun from the game.

where you at volski, just finished a game, 11 kills in my mc202 and bj109 E3, 19,000 lions, game before that, 7 kills with Lagg3 and Yak serious affiliates and made something like 10,000 lions, sure its slower now, but its still do-able

Atleast you dont need to kill 5+ planes on anything above tier 7 to make money anymore

You're using German and Russian aircraft 8th. With cannons. That defy the laws of physics. Murican' planes perform nowhere near as well.

 Volks, you should be easily making money with repairs that cost 1k and less on most American fighters.

Then again, I don't play to get the next plane, that's just a bonus. I play because I enjoy flying airplanes and making others crash and burn. I found that the Anti-Air ammo (T-AP-AP-AP-API-HEI) is super effective in my Hellcat and P40. Will be switching to the closest ammo types to that on all craft.

Last night we ran a bomber formation with my Hellcat riding escort, destroyed enemy airfield for the win and I left with 8 kills 0 deaths (until the game was won anyway, got wing shot off post win). Made 25k Lions and a good amount of XP.

Really enjoying the German Attack planes, just got the me.410B6/R3, 2 x 30mm cannons and 2x 20 mm cannons. They really tear shit up.
