Seems like Hungary ceased to be a democracy a few weeks ago and my mind is completely fucking blown. Anyone else heard of this?

Demon posession is real and it's not funny, it's the creepiest thing you will ever experience.

I would also like to add I watch fox news everyday all day and will continue to watch it while being proud of that fact. I'm sure you enjoy your communist news network just as much.

Sure the rabid hatred that Hungarians have for Romes kinda made me think things like this might happen, but I never thought Hungary would be the first to go.

So any bets on which one will be next? I'm thinking Greece.

Dafuq man, don't ask for proof if you'll refuse it if it's not in your favor, logic fallacy for the bloody win.

We were? We all know the US is not a dictatorship, people just like to throw that word around. It's a corrupt as hell Republic, but that's nothing new when you let people be career politicians.

democracies are too ineffective anyways, everyone is selfish and corrupt and incompetent politicians always get elected because the voters are morons.

You know it's always difficult, even for me, to tell your genuinely retarded posts from your trolls. It's sad indeed.

Remove campaign funding donations, lobbies and lower the salary of politicians. You would see less people in it for their own good and people that might actually want to do something useful.

Also have the IRS go over their financials each year.

I didn't say that dictatorship is a better system, I just pointed out that there are flaws.

Dictatorships are a better system. Clearly better is subjective. A dictatorship is statistically proven to be the most efficient form of governance to date in human history.

The drawbacks of long term corruption are also readily apparent. However democracies come with that too.

The democratic compromise of elected officials serving for lengthy terms is intended to blend both options.

Maybe this hungry guy will be a benevolent dictator.(yes I said hungry.)

Just because a specific idea or politician is popular doesn't make him the more competent leader and the will of the democratic majority may not always be in the best interest of all citizens within the country or beneficial to the future of the country itself, especially when democratically elected politicians tend to favor short-term solutions to appeal to voters.

In a Democracy you just vote for a different person when the population disagrees.

In a Dictatorship you have a coup or rebellion if the people disagree with their leader.

One tends to me more destructive.

Orban tried to pull this shit before, I'm sure the EU will step in and sort that mess soon enough. There's only so much he can get away with.

A dictatorship is statistically proven to be the most efficient form of governance to date in human history.

The basic idea is that production would increase, education would be more efficient, crime and unemployment would drop, so society as a whole would be better off but for the single individual it would be worse because you'd have to sacrifice more: work all the time, no personal freedoms etc.

What exactly will the EU do? Will it fix the underlying issues or just try and put in place embargoes, will you invade?

None of those things. It will simply go "K, stop being retarded or we're cutting off the tasty structural funds you've been getting. GG"
