Anyone up for a multiplayer game? It's all in real time so no waiting on turns.

I'm not sure if I will be getting the new expansion yet, at $14.99 it's expensive as far as their DLC goes.

Just bought it this morning, have not tried it yet. I might be up for a game later. Should probably try it once before playing online'!

Nice!

How did it all play out?  You guys all get patches set up? Was it hard to get everything going multiplayer?

Well the issue with Paradox games if that they put out a fair amount of bullshit DLC, and I'm not totally opposed to that, loyal fans will still buy it just for the sake of supporting them, but the Sunset invasion DLC and the Legacy of Rome one are realistically total bullshit for anyone to actually go out and buy. That being said things like Sword of Islam and The Old Gods are completely legitimate expansions worth their cost, but to make things easier even if you bought them you might as well torrent it all just  to make sure you and whoever you're playing with get the same checksum. Other than that issue all the major paradox games are great, and I'd be up for playing a CK2 game if we could get a bunch of people together. Having 5-6 people all at once would just be amazing.

lets not forget Paradox's love of releasing DLC's that contain patches to broken parts of the game, literally forcing you to stick with a damaged product or buying the dlc to get the fix.

(notably Vic 2 and the civ war DLC.)

Some of the things that Paradox does I would never tolerate in another developer/publisher. But then again I'm a massive paradox fanboi so I don't care Tongue

Demon posession is real and it's not funny, it's the creepiest thing you will ever experience.

I would also like to add I watch fox news everyday all day and will continue to watch it while being proud of that fact. I'm sure you enjoy your communist news network just as much.

Ain't that the truth for most of us Paradox fans.

Any other game company pulled a SOTS2 (aka non-working game for a good chunk of a year) i would never ever buy any of their games again.

fucking paradox Smiley

Good thing they also make some fantastic games.

I want to get the Old Gods, but that might have to wait a little bit. I'm thinking we should try a game this weekend.

Again if we end up playing we should all just torrent it from the same place to save everyone issues with a checksum, that doesn't mean you shouldn't also buy it if you plan to play but its just for convenience.
