EIRR has always been terminal.
Sometimes the cancer that afflicted it goes into remission but sure enough it relapses.

It's just a shame it took 6 years to get it to this point.

You know, by that logic, everybody and everything that lives is 'terminal' as its all going to die sooner or later. I'm not quite sure what you are getting at but EIR and EIRR both have had quite successful periods...

Let me elaborate .
What I ment to say was its a shame it took EIRR 6 years to get to this stage of development.
I can only imagine how much bigger it would be if we had what we have now in the golden age of eirr.

As shown, that only works for a month or two no?

Yep. A big patch every 1-2 months should be mandatory, it seems the time between patches got bigger and bigger, we used to get a big ass patch every 2-3 weeks when salan worked for the mod and it showed in launcher numbers

But, that kind of stuff only works when we have something legitimate to change. We kinda rolled that way because we kept on redoing the doctrines. At the moment there is sort of a consensus that it's as good as it's gonna get with the design system that we have.

And if we get stuff right and only do doctrines once instead of redoing them every half year we will have to come up with other stuff to release :p. Not that I'm worried about that, there's tons of potential in the whole warmap game, as well as in the integration of new factions, addition of new units, gamemodes, etc.

Easy to say there should be a big patch every 2-3 months..... but what would you put in it?

So lets say the next patch fixes the warmap. Then the next patch completes the doctrines. Then what?

I agree that production was abysmal the last year or so, but that does not change the fact that eventually there is going to be nothing to patch but the odd balance issue.

If I had my way, EiR2 will be complete in a year..... then what?

Rework doctrines forever.

..mwahahah!

(please don't rape me tank)

No seriously, or add new ones, I assume it's a lot easier to add more doctrines to EIR2 considering how their doctrine system is based on commanders Cool

Ok here is the problem why we don't have big number player base,

50% of coh players love bridge and bottle neck fighting which eir don't have so there goes 50% players we can forget about them.

from 50% remaining 25% love skirmish coz they can beat them easily and win most of the time which EIR doesn't support so there goes 25% players we can forget about.

from 25% players 10% got stomped and didn't even thought about giving a another go and left eir.

from 20% players 10% got boared and just moved on to another game but comes base time to time.

the 10% players we got left r most of them smurfing ,trolling and just posting unrelated things in the forum(shab and Bold espically) and only 2 oe 3 % players r still playing in daily basis, even the devs r not been seen launcher frequently( i can't understand the ppl (devs) who put so much time in modding and bring out the patch doesn't even play the mod  Grin Grin Grin ) . well its not my problem if they don't play it. get over it . FUCK. Angry Angry Angry

He does have a point though, even if it is a flawed math.

The population in EIRR is low, very very low. at the current time there's only 6 players in chat and 1 battle waiting. I am happy that tank has upkept EIRR going, but this is quite a alarming state.

No development, less progression, no real customization options, no change.

That is why nobody plays. There is nothing to do but repeat the same battle over and over again.
