Allies-Skaffa/Colossus/Bondaro35

Axis-Crazy/Heartmann/Mid

Axis attack on Brettoneaux(sp).  Luftwaffe power mixed with Terror and Blitz taking on Airborne, Royal Engies, and more Airborne.  Game featured an absurd amount of AB, a Tiger, a King Tiger, a Maus, a vet 5 Wespe, a vet3 Comet, tons of back and forth pushes where each side gets thrown back to their spawn, bombing runs on repairing tanks, precision strikes on moving infantry, fallschirmjagers, and churchill armor Crocodiles.

Really entertaining game that came down to the last couple units on each side.  ~50 minutes I think.

Axis attack on a pony. I would watch that tbh.

The back and forth fighting at the start it mostly due to both teams failing equally much. But it gets better. Epic showdown at the end and Heartmanns strategy to save the best for last fails again against all the crocs. Attrition in EIR doesn't work like that, there is no guarantee that you will survive that long and winning early engagements give you a further advantage to win the game. Those upgraded FJs would have done a hell of a lot more with proper support like your team had earlier in the game. You had the opportunity to take out Airborne troops but not the firepower.

The Wespe was the axis downfall. Wespe and Nebel are not good starting units. 20 minutes of continuous barrages and they both archive no more than 3 kills. At the start of the game there won't be enough enemy units for artillery to be effective and you won't have the to pop to spare. If you're defending you'll get overrun. If you're attacking you won't have enough units to break through. All the pop that would have been made available could have been enough for axis to win the game.

Hotchkiss stuka is good start, it can dual as artillery and light tank. Mortar halftrack is a good start, it can fire continuously and it's speed allows it to be in range at all times. With good micro they become death machines. The Wespe and Nebel are mid-end game units. They don't have any real affect until your team reaches 35-40 pop.

Sharks are not monsters Henley, they are cute, cuddly and misunderstood. They love humans. sometimes they love TOO much. They love people so much that sometimes their kisses separate people into two flailing pieces which are consumed by other sharks in a frenzy of peace and joy.

Man Pony, on the forums you almost sound like a half-decent player sometimes.

No clue why when you actually play the game you can't micro properly or make intelligent strategic decisions to save your life and instead typically end up sitting by your spawn with 3-4 hilariously useless Puma's that you're too afraid to use or do anything with.

It's almost like forum wannabe armchair general pony is completely different guy than actual in-game pony.

You talk like a mumbling fool. I have never done such a thing, I would always use my pumas as the second line of defence close to the fighting to kite and flank enemy units and never use more than two. The strategy is however just like dual snipers, deadly but too demanding to support.

I'd just like to say that while the play may not have been perfect, it was still an enjoyable game, and the days of perfectly played EIR games are long past I'd say.

Compared to Pony's horrible level, the play in this game was damn near Olympian quality.

Panthers fighting Airborne RRs, m1d's paks sitting around not doing anything for the better part of the game etc. If that's olympic level, the quality of games in EIR must have really declined.

Or, you know, given that he specifically compared it to you he might just be saying that he thinks you suck. For someone who puts way to much effort into making posts look nice, you sure failed in reading comprehension there.

RIGHT!

time to set some things straight... and then get flame raped for the points that I made but hey why the hell not *Arms on hips* ^^

1. Pony Shut the hell up, you never really have a clue, and most of the times you talk outta your arse.

2. Pony, SHUT THE HELL UP!

3. Sorry pony, but plz shut it?

4. Right! Reason for Wespe (admitt that it failed BUT) Most games that it has seen up to this game it has performed exeptionally well vs this kind of build where its ab blobs and crocs. one of the few ways to engage them you see? therefore the early on sett.

5. Fjs are not front line troops, yes I know I still wait sometimes to late to use them BUT! They at most of the times could not have been put to and effective use seeing as its crocs Brits and US. With smoke. Fjs are just ineffective vs that, so there is no point in brining out troops that wont do any good on field anyhow.

6. I zooned out a lot that game, sorry to my team mates, and I think I messed some micro up as well, OH yea trying to take out Collosus firefly was a bad rush move Tongue apart from that I regret nothing ^^

ty again for a rather fun game ^^

Heartman's wespe usually does really well. Some games you're gonna get bad rolls, especially with a thing that only shoots 3 shots. It's bound to happen eventually.
