If you cant wait for NS II (for source) and want some good old gameplay just like in the halflive day´s you can get a freeware game that is just like NS.

Its called Tremulous has nice gameplay and shity graphic´s.
You dont need anything its stand alone.

Thats a great game. Its aliens vs humans. Can be freaky with smaller aliens running around charging out you in huge numbers, and coming out the dark. Really cool creating eggs and spawning places in vents and all, just a cool game, you should try it. NS looks cool, im guessing NS2 is for HL2?
