t changes and they didn't work out. The great thing is now we are doing patches every 2 weeks, so any imbalances only last for a couple of weeks and get fixed.
Instead of us wasting months of analyzing the living shit out tiny changes, we are just making changes and analyzing the results.

about time! I always wondered how long it would take the team to realize that. Hard at work adjusting values and testing for MONTHSSS only to have the community shoot it down in a week or two because they realize that it makes certain things OP or gimped. Meaning they will remain that way for 4 more months waiting for another massive update.

ffs.

I never wanted it to be a TD. i never suggested it be a TD.

All heavies that aren't reward units have been buffed in some way aside from the Jumbo. which again people only took with Tankreapers.

Tank is correct, Jumbo is a fat Medium, that's it.

I also....agree....with Tanks assessment of what bonuses the heavy tanks should get....

a cheap price you can afford 3. the question is can you deal more damage with 5-6x double repair shermans (even single rep) with upguns than you can with 3 non upgunned jumbos.

That is also why i have asked for replays by anyone who has decently even teams so we can see just how good the jumbo is.

Ok, this is becoming a silly argument.  How do double repairs factor in when you can only purchase Jumbos in Infantry doctrine?  So lets throw out the double repair strawman out off the bat.  So great now we are looking at only single repair Shermans.  So 4-5 upgun shermans or 5-6 75mm Shermans vs 3 75mm Jumbos depending on what sector you camp on and what resource cards are in play.  Your average player is probably fielding closer to 4-5 Shermans because it's useful to have jeeps and other things.

So what are you getting with a Jumbo?  The biggest con stat wise is the unit is simply slower.  0.7 less max speed since the Jumbo moves as fast as a Tiger Ace. 0.4 less acceleration.  Everything else is better or equal to the standard 75mm sherman. The armor provides 40 - 60% more pen reduction than Sherman armor against pretty much all vehicle and tank guns.  Most important is the 60% less pen paks and 50mm hts have against Jumbos (the most commonly fielded Axis AT assets).  The tank comes with a free 50 cal for 50 muni savings right there and has 100 more HP on top.

Fully kitted 4 upgun shermans = 1580 MP 400 Muni 1040 Fuel 12 pop each
Fully kitted 5x 75mm shermans = 1975 500 muni 1100 12 pop each
3x Jumbos = 1620 180 muni 1140 13 pop each

Not everyone used Tank Reapers when they fielded Jumbos so I am not sure how the Sherman upgun comparison is exceedingly relevant but great lets take a look at what the upgun currently gives you in the meta.  You can now beat P4s handily and you hurt anything with armor worse than a P4.  Anything with better armor currently outranges you. Stugs, Hetzers, Panthers, Tigers etc.  Therefore its not particularly ideal to be use upgun Shermans in the AT role anyway.  75mm Jumbos can also beat P4s because they have tougher armor and more HP.  So what have you gained for going with upgun Shermans over 75mm Jumbos besides 1 extra tank to play around with?

For the 75mm Sherman is the exchange for 3 tougher Jumbos vs 5 at the cost of more muni and more mp.

Some players excel at having a large pool tanks they can throw away and use aggressively in the game.  Others work better with tougher tanks they can micro all a game.

The old upgun Tank Reaper unlock was exceedingly efficient since it had no cost on a platform was superior overall to the Sherman.  Just because that option is gone doesn't mean that Jumbo still isn't better tank for tank compared to the Sherman.
