The warmap thus far has been just a gimmick for resources with both sides having just one goal but very little rope to pull together. Thus we have a playground which only a solid group of friends can use to win.

It needs a campaign feeling. Command structure organized by players. Naturally faction with better players win battles but will they win a war?

Does anyone have any ideas how to make a command structure or is it even possible to create such? If one was there, maybe the warmap would be more interesting aside of their resource points.

I'd think that players would split into factions they'd want to play (carry a tag maybe?) and gets access to certain part of a forum which other half doesn't (Needs a part where you apply yourself to war into recruitment, a recruitment thread where you post name, faction and then submit for waiting valuation. This way you get approved and you get a tag which allows you to see said faction board where things are told. This also prevents Lolsmurf account imma look whats over here things). Each board elects their commander via democracy or by whatever means they want.

This does not mean they aren't allowed to play all factions, they are just dedicated to one faction but can play as Axis/Allies should they so desire, but only have access to the faction board which they applied to. This does not mean you HAVE to join it, but it becomes optional.

Because a forum post should be like a woman's skirt. Long enough to cover the subject material, but short enough to keep things interesting.

It has a nice RP ring to it but any idea of a team or hierarchy online immediately reminds me of Dota 2 and how bad teams are online.

To flesh out your idea more, you should perhaps think about the objective to achieve that requires organisation otherwise you're doing organisation for organisation's sake much like how camouflage function in most fps... mostly aesthetic with very little real camouflaging properties.

One question.

It seams that the Axis player doesnt like attack on warmap. Why EIR doesnt start with the complete map in Axis hand and three sectors in the west be the Allied spawn like in real.
The Axis cant attack on Warmap only defend and Support and the Allied do it automatic without that every battle in coh is really a allied attack (by axis defend/support of a sector) and the war is over (wipe) if the last axis sector lost...

At the End is a statistic with the most fraction victorys, kills and vet-units.....

This would need more players, maybe in EiR2 (if devs and more importantly Sega let that ever happen), but it's ofc allways good to have ideas which can lead to great things like this mod.
Anybody heard of WWII Online | Battleground Europe? http://www.battlegroundeurope.net/
It's old but still alive MMO ww2 fps game. It has still thousands of players, one server and map size is only the area of western Europe. This is the current situation in their campaign:

As far as I know players get up in ranks and can eventually be commander of the army. So ncos and officers decide over other players, what squads, platoons, companies, battalions, brigades, divisions (and so on) do, where they attack etc. Okay too much offtopic, but this could give some ideas even though it's fps game.

I've thought also that it would be cool if EiR warmap was a bit similiar to Total War campaign map. Like if there were cities/towns/villages in sectors which could be fought over concrete. There could be three or even more versions of one map, town x, town x outskirts north, town x outskirts south etc. Your location in warmap would affect in that wether you're already (ingame) defending the place, or coming as a reinforse in x minutes.

Basically organization for organization's sake is a better way to go. Whoever gets to call the shots (Player chosen by others to lead) is one who gets to order.

Naturally there will be issues such like that "omg lol he thinks his a leader" like in LoL/DoTA and so on. But EIRR people belongs to this tight society which is hard to approach and enter. It might turn out that people would actually listen to the leader. It needs rewards. Something which I alone am not able to come up with.
