Wind, does the up-gun puma cost 120 fuel and is it thought of as underpriced and overpowered? The T17 is both and has been on the nerfway for long time so that's a very poor comparison.
Which is why the comparison included the stag and greyhound in addition to the t17. The point of the comparison: the up gun puma doesn't hold a candle to LV's designed to counter infantry. It can, in a pinch, do reasonable versus them but you don't buy Up Gun pumas in your company to counter inf because there are far better, cost comparitive alternatives for that specific purpose. You do, however, buy T17s, un-upgun hotches, Stags and so forth for that role. The Puma with the up gun on the other hand is something purchased to bring some reasonable light AT with good mobility that isn't totally useless versus infantry on the field -- something a T17 or Stag or Hotch doesn't really classify as. That's why I felt your statement of an upgun puma being "pretty much as good as any LV vs inf" was wrong, which it really is.
Also there are many,
including yourself, who felt the only problems with the T17 were doctrine based and not necessarily the base unit.
Take away: the comparison stands well.
