Ok so I have a serious list of questions regarding the future of this mod. Please answer the following questions WITH AN EXPLANATION.

1. Suppose all the devs magically reappeared, would it be possible for them to create EIR on COH2 platform? If not, why?
2. Are all of the devs gone and out of action? If not, who's a dev here?
3. Suppose the main dev EIRMod doesn't return, would it be possible for someone to replace him?
4. Will the OMG devs do anything further in regards to the OMG/EIR mods?
5. What about OMG?

Please no "It'll never happen" BS. Do not underestimate the power of programming. Have an open mind.

Let us hope these questions are answered because many still ask this question in their heads. Good luck. Have fun.

1. Yes
2. Scotz & Myself are the only active Devs. Nikomas pops in once in a while
3. Possible yes, realistically, No
4. No Idea what OMG wants to do with their Mod. We negotiated a merger last year and it did not work out.
5. What about it?

yeah he has. i have seen him over in the OMG mod forums.

i have no idea why people who love OMG mod so much continue to play this mod. it's almost like they enjoy this mod.

I mean OMG's origins is EIR so it would make sense why some OMG players would play EIR and vice-versa. Which is why I don't understand why the OMG devs will not do anything about it.

Basically what tank said but i'll add my view

1. Yes, it would very much.
2. All the recent devs are either gone, have moved, have forgotten the mod, don't care about the mod, have found better things to do. It's just reality i suppose. Tank is keeping the mod servers and forums mulling over. I'm coding what i can and doing what i can to take the mod places. Niko doesn't really have a hand in here, as real life is busy. Schmidt is still moderating the forums, but seems to be more active due to the community actually getting back together
3. That's the way it looks. Its just whoever is left. Someone can replace him, and do his work. But it's just finding that person that want's to work thorught this.... mess.
4. What tank said, i wasn't even here for most of that.
5. Again, EIR and OMG are 2 different mods. I've had very little to do with the mod. I played it once or twice.. if that counts. Might even steal ideas soon....

Feel free to ask whatever you like. And that goes to everyone.

Well now, OMG was once apart of EIR until the devs diverged on the launcher idea.

Apparently. Wasn't here for that time period, unfortunately.

But both the mods merging in their current state would be.. difficult? Both have come a long way, and have flourished into something better.

Who knows? Maybe in the future?

I think it's really time for you guys to move on with your lives and accept they are two different mods. Yes, they started with the same group of people, but they developed into something else.
There is strong similarities to the two mods, but they are vastly different in their play style, balance, and mechanics ( Launcher etc )

Seriously, get over it. They are two different mods.
