Again, very nice.

I believe the mappers in EIR are some of the best in COH community.  You all have done a terrific job.  Keep it up.

If only we could get the last remaning mappers from vCoH over to EiR.
Mappers have no future with vCoH, .sgb and poor community support really kill it, it's not worth making vCoH maps when no one plays them. That's why EiR is perfect for a rich mapping community to florish, and a mapping community is perfect for EiR to be even more fun. Smiley.

Mappers are either working on EiR or Battle of the Bulge (Henry) Smiley.

Henry is working on BotB?  That's just wrong... He told me last October he and Mannerheim would be doing a map for us in November ... Sad

Oh well... BotB isn't even playable with OF yet...

Speaking of BotB, is there any way to import just their winter terrain and object textures so we can make a true winter map?

Yeah, he's the scar coder for Henry which means he's probably doing work for BotB as well.

Not to keep derailing this thread further, but I think EIR is going to have some stiff competition for players when the other mods start implementing models.  The object editor is supposedly getting extremely close to release.

Another reason we should get in touch with Halftrack and start trying to get his skins in game.

They are straight up incredible, and really add a flair of realism to the game.

If the devs would be interested in getting the in-game I would be happy to start a conversation with him about making them an official part of the mod Smiley

Well, the external skin pack is pretty much all halftrack's Wink.
I believe the reason they're not automatically included is to keep the filesize low.

(Although eventually we could have the option to download mappacks, skinpacks, etc through the launcher as an official plug-in so to speak)

They are quite terrific though I don't really care for the Axis veterancy, it's kind of hard to tell what is what level...

Why don't we make an urban map, such as Rennes, or Le Havre or Beauvais? Something with more buildings, streets, easy-to-manage chokepoints? I really would like something like that. The only reason Lyon isn't played is because of the bridges, and it's really getting on my nerves. Please, make an urban map, PLEASE!!! Something artillery can destroy, something MG's can take advantage of, something that infantry can scurry around in...

Please... I'm so desperate... My Worldbuilder doesn't work. I'd be making maps like mad if it did. I can't reinstall because I'm missing my OF disk. Damn it...

I asked him if we could use them at the beginning of the year ( halftrack) but he never really replied. But now that you say he gave us permission I guess its legal to use his textures from the BotB modd  Shocked Itd be nice to see maps like Berlin and Bastogne.
