I was thinking that there could be maps where the AI is already entrenched and we use our company to break them. It gets boring having to wait for awhile, specially if you're the new guy.

All I'm asking for is some form of vs AI play, so that way I can continue to play the mod when no one else is around to play with me

Because of the way the EiR AI is programmed (to instantly retreat all units towards the spawn, in order to preserve veterancy and company composition in the event that a player disconnects), it would be impossible to create such a mode outside of making a new map with pre-placed units on it. In order to make sure that they didn't all retreat, the AI would need to be disabled, meaning you could theoretically beat the AI with nothing more than a jeep/bike, mortar, and an anti-tank gun.

In games like this, it would be possible to 'farm' veterancy and eventually grind out an entire Vet5 company--grinding in such a manner (or forming 1v1s with players for the strict purpose of vet farming) is considered exploiting, and is grounds for penalties ranging from the deletion of your companies to a temporary ban from the mod (if memory serves).

Not only that, but to use a given company in battle, you must go through the readying process and then hit the 'big red button'--there is no way to have bots occupy the launcher to join games and ready up.

I want to ensure we have a 100% decision on the process before we do the wipe.
If not, then I wipe, then someone gets something they shouldn't, then it gets abused, then the shit hits the fan and then I ban shab.

Too long; Didn't read

We do not have the programming capabilities to implement this type of feature, but it's a great idea.
