Hi All,
With the second post-steam EIR war cycle drawing to a close, I wanted to share with you some stats from games played over the last 5 months.
1. Faction & Doctrine Wins and LossesSome data on outcome of all games played.
Factional wins and losses:
1: US, 2: WM, 3: PE, 4: CW
Wins and losses per doctrine:
As you can see from this data, wins and losses are within an acceptable margin of the 50% mark for the most part but there are some notable outliers on the upper and lower end. There are many variables in play beyond balance that may explain why some factions or doctrines seemingly have higher win rates than others (f.e. higher skilled players playing a specific doctrine, skewed sample sizes, etc) so we shouldn't read too much into them in terms of the state of EIR balance, though it does still provide a useful indicator, also for just measuring the general popularity of factions or doctrines (which might say more about design than it does balance)
2. Top Commanders
You will have already some of these names in the launcher as their many games have granted them a silver or golden name tag, but these commanders take the honor of having made the greatest contribution to their faction's overall performance this war:
US: WoHIJagdgeschwader52 W/L 128/55
WM: X1Alpha W/L 73/104
CW: HamsterTheFallen W/L 58/36
PE: Audemed W/L 58/47
3. Top units and companies
WoHIJagdgeschwader52's Black Cat Division takes the crown in terms of total vet accumulated on a single company, with a total of 5135 XP.
The honor of highest vet unit overall at the end of this war cycle meanwhile goes to Skaffa's PE company which fields a vet 5 panther with a total of 2219 XP.
Other noteworthy veterans:
Highest vet CW unit: PrinceOfScotland's 819 XP Churchill Crocodile
Highest vet US unit: Shabtajus' 1413 XP sniper
Highest vet WM unit: Lasers' 614 XP Tiger tank
4. Most played maps
This one will come as no surprise to anyone, but Skaffa's Neuville 3v3 and 2v2 versions are head and shoulders above all other maps in EIR in terms of total games played, with 166 games and 107 games respectively. The most popular 4v4 meanwhile this war was Monte Cassino with 36 games, closely followed bij Schijndel at 32.
Most of these stats can be found at
http://forums.europeinruins.com/index.php?page=65 so do keep on eye on that page for the next war and we'd like to integrate these pages into the launcher at some point in the future too. We'd also soon like to tie these type of outcomes to some medals/achievements in the launcher that players will be able to keep on their profile page and battle screen name hover overs across war cycles.
Good games everyone, thanks for playing and looking forward to seeing how the next war plays out!
