at least to me.

1.) Does there exist a way to play with a real Axis company instead of Able and such? I dont get it maybe but it seems there is no way to choose a real company name. Or wait, we are on Battalions? Whatever, it is, doese there exist a way to name my stuff correctly?

2.) I cant choose a doctrine but maybe I´m just dumb  Grin

Ok, I thats it for the moment. I guess I will await the 0.9 version before I get my hands on this mod. Anyway sounds really interesting.

Well you can rename the companies to anything that starts with the letters A through G.  How did the wermacht actually name its companies?  I've been wondering that myself.  Because it does somehow seem wrong to have Bravo company of the 3rd Panzer Battalion and such.

2.) You chouse it when registering. Right under "side".

1.)

You have to make a word with the first letter. like; [A]ttacke

I pmed fldash that there shoud be more letter´s especially since a lot of (german) words requiere more than a, b, c, d, e at the beginning, but he didnt answer :I

Thtb, what did the Germans actually call their companies? Did they designate them with letters or numbers?  And if letters, is there a german alphaphonetic equivalent to Able for A, Baker for B, etc.?

There were no company names.

The Wehrmacht used numbers and no names.

Examples: 3rd Company of the Pioneer-Bataillon 12
The Soldieres sometimes named their companies like Schuster 3rd Company or such things but these are non official names. The SS had names but that´s it. I would be ok with numbers because I have the names of the Company Leaders and such (WWII Nut) and so I would be able to choose the right Battaillon -->Company.

I cant choose a doctrine. There´s a blank dropdown menue.

Why the heck tanks will die to Inf that easy? At least in the open tanks should be superior to Inf I mean I cant spam them in this mod. But ok, I will try before I complain  Grin

Did you select a Faction first?  You're doctrine is chosen when you signup after you enter your Relic Online name and select either Axis or Allies.

And to reply to thtb's comment about inf destroying tanks, he is exaggerating.  Inf AT was buffed recently and so people are complaining that tanks aren't viable anymore.  But I regularly have my P IV tanks survive a battle, then again its a PIV, not an M10  Wink

You can keep your tanks alive and vetted if you're careful, and I know this because I'm deliberately not with mine Tongue

I prefer to maximize their cost, and usually I lose them because of it.  However, you need to follow the same "cowardly" principles that players get infantry vetted to do the same with your tanks (omgz half health retreat!)
