We're current looking at the calliope and balance, even before this post.  Thanks for brining it up though.

Its already extremely powerful and almost unkillable as it flees at the first sign of danger.

Protect it maybe?

I personally feel that all Shermans should get Smokes. Smoke isn't very powerful and it'll give people more options to waste their munitions on.

Unkillable? Hardly...

Also, at the 'Purchase Squads' screen, it says it takes up 15 Pop cap. BUT in the real game it's 16 pop cap.

Something to look into

I already made a thread with the same titel quite some time ago Wink

It takes 300 ammo and 550 fuel witch is... impresiv.

At least i can dominate the blob´s with it. .... somehow... Sometimes it does no damage even with a direct hit. The enemy inf. just keeps standing right there and completly ignore the damage and the rockets. They dont even jump into cover/ lay flat.

Get lost, if a pIV is on 5% hp then the rangers just fireup and chase it down with a barage of rockets, if a sherman is on 5% Hp, a schreck squad normaly only has 1 schreck anyway so the sherman can get away most times, with smoke: Paks miss almost everytime and schecks are terrible as well, smoke is fine on the sherman.

It would be cool if all tanks got it, but the calli is hardly ever in direct thread and if it is you have messed up.

"Hardly ever in direct thread?"

Hell i am at;

8 - Phanter´s       - that died rushing for calliopes
24 medium Tank´s - Rushing and dieing for it
18 Stormys          - Sneaking to it and even throwing bundle nades at it.
5 Rocket Arty´s    - used on it with help of MI

Is that the amount you have killed while they try to rush it? if so then the cally was not in *Direct threat* as you must have had things defending it. and it is still alive, no?

That´s what i killed Wink

With all my calliopes ( around 11), I lost quite some since i tend to go close to have less scatter and actually do damage.

It´s like saying that the flak88 or the howitzer never get in close conntact with the enemy....
They never surive a battle if the enemy cares. Same with the short ranged calliope.

the "short ranged calliope" is FAR more manoverable than a flak or a howie Tongue.

Its far more maneuverable than a Nebel, and much harder to kill than a Stuka.

If you find it dying so often, you are doing something wrong. We seem to keep our Stuka's alive pretty well.

As for people doing anything to kill it, welcome to what its like to have a Tiger, Panther, KT, or Vet P4.

It can have smoke in Vcoh, also the ablity show´s up when you click the unit itself and it does not
"make evry shoot miss".
Arguments of a not-one-sided-player woud be nice.

Which is, survey says, an AT/AA/AI gun! No artillery what so ever!
