2.0 Isn't far away, I know a lot of people are waiting for some release info before they decide sides, but get your teams in order!

I very much suggest not doing this tournament right after the release. Everybody wants to test out PE and Brits when the new version comes out. This is not ideal when done in such a competetive environment, and will make the faction choices quite one-sided.

Furthermore, the probability is very high that things are still quite unbalanced for the new factions, like ability cooldowns or unit costs (an entirely new cost system may be introduced). It would be a shame to see this tournament being dominated by some trench abuse or something.

Give it 2 weeks to let players test out the new factions in the sandbox, and to find and fix the most disconcerning gameplay and balance issues. Then let them sign up, after they found their true faction of choice, and lets have a good and equally balanced tournament.

This can also only be good for the total amount of participants. Both currently inactive and totally new players attracted by 2.0 will also have a chance to sign up.

true, some good points, but seriously its inception was mostly for 1.9, which got over ruled by dash's end game experience .. cool beans and all that fun times ahead.

Always waiting, blah................ well i guess we don't even know what will be included in 2.0 so who knows.

was just trying to do a community event for the community to help give reasons to play beyond the normal ones... it could easily develop into a regular occuring league, but maybe it should wait ... again

2.0 Will be plenty of reason to start playing, no need for a tournament right away.
Although the tournament should definately be held eventually.
