Everytime I try to play a game against my friend using one of my companies, the game starts fine, but when it begins, I have no units and no way of calling in any units. I've tried reinstalling, and I've tried using another force but still nothing. Its a clean, un-modded, patched version of CoH. Any idea what the problem is?

Did you download the battle files for that game? Did your friend?
Did you use F1-F6 to display the screens that let you call in your platoons?

We both downloaded the Battle files, and every time I press F1-6 it zooms onto the road, but nothing is there, no screen, no way of calling in troops.
Just to check, where do you put the battlefiles?

We really need an auto installer - so many problems associated with this.

Yea, but it's hard to make an automated installer be created everytime.
Either way, this problem is indeed caused by the files being extracted wrong, so just double check to make sure they were placed inside the EiR folder and in the Locale/English and the other one in Archives.

Not really Ucross, the installation guide on the forums really covers how to do it. Maybe a readme file to go with the download, but that's all you really need. Even the computer illiterate could do it.

I have the same problem, and im by no means computer illiterate..
I can get the game going and everything, i unzip it to the CoH it overwrites into the right directories, i check all that out.. and then i go into the game and it just has no forces to call...
double checking it all now

Also make sure you actually have platoons set up . And that you're pressing F1 - F6 or the taskbar icons for platoons call in icons.

and its called eirv1.3 now.. someone was talking about a 1.3a .. would that be the problem? and if so where do i find this 1.3a and again how is it that 1.3 works with 1.3a people?

Ok i think i know what the problem is, im about to test it out to see if it fixes it..
last night i signed up and downloaded the mod and set it all up today.. i go to play and have no forces.. BUT there is talk on here about 1.3a.. my game i downladed was 1.3. So after searching, you guys really aren't userfriendly on your website for installation files, i find the 1.3a file and have now installed that.
might be people are not updating to the right version and having this problem, might be they didn't even know a new version existed.
i'll test it now and see if it works after changing that

Tbh there's a sticky on the alpha forum, people never read sticky but they should as it contains ALL you possibly need to know.

Also, make sure the name you tell the site when you make your profile here that it is exactly as it is on relic online. And it is case sensitive.

There is a bug that disable all hot keys associated with vCoH. To fix it, just hit [shift] in-game.
