Is there any way we could get a set rule list about Vent started?
One would hope that a community of mostly adults could function without name-saying, but it's not punished, so until Akranadas or other admins lay the law down, you will have members like scrap who verbally attack people with profanity on vent, and are not confronted because no one else wants to deal with the torrent of flak from them.

I have laid down the law repeatly regarding you and Scrapking. You
both are as bad as one another, no one is innocent in a flame war. I have told Scrap in the past to lay down on the profanity and he has agreed, but I would like to think that this is a mature community of players and not a grandmas sowing club and that the members could handle a few naughty words.
I for one don't like profanity as much but I can live with it because we are dealing with people from different upbringings and cultures. So you can't really penalise someone for something that isn't offensive in there culture which is in yours. This you all need to learn, and until you do; your not on the same page as me when it comes to what to do with members.
To this day I've never once profanely attacked scrap or any other player. Every post scrap has made against me contains half thought out counters and a torrent of derogatory attacks. This time somewhere around 7 or 8. He verbally bashes community members on ventrilo with profanity; regularly. Without question when 'we' are formally confronted 'we' will be told to drop it, conduct ourself to 'rules of conduct' and leave it dropped.
You clearly display intelligence with your debates scrap, but reserve yourself to attacking people with the choice of words commonly used by high school freshman. They too can think of witty attacks like those you've posted above. And will post soon hereafter. Btw, innuendo and fact are what you usually mix up.
You obviously don't understand flame wars correctly; it doesn't matter how nice you make your attack look; it's still and attack. Be that on the intelligence of a player or the integrity of the player. For you have done this; I have deleted a
number of posts from you and scraping with you both exchanging blows and quite frankly; it's getting old really
really fast. If I could bring back deleted posts I would and show you how wrong you and he are.
It is horrible to read every day and I hate seeing it; it's like textual vomit for me, it's worse than reading ranting or l33t speak I kid you not. All I see you guys do is attempt to oust each other in the community and you don't see how stupid you both look with your bickering, and you should both apologise to me for making me read that garbage; truly I could be doing something more productive with my time rather than sitting here babysitting two adults who are most likely older than me.
I'm wondering if the admins have waited as long as they have bc they too don't want to deal with the kind of attention I receive from him. Can't say I would blame them. Who would want to mediate, honestly?
I tried to do the nice thing and remove the offending material because I was being nice and I thought that you and Scrapking could handle the bickering by yourselfs like adults. Trust me; from now on thanks to you two; I'm going to come down a lot harder on in-forum fights because obviously allowing players to sort it out for themselves doesn't work. So thanks for making more work for me; I appreciate it a lot.
If you have problems with members do the
right thing and inform the
proper authorities like myself or fldash. If you can type you a 500 word post about someone and post it on the forums then you should be able to type up a 50 word Private message to me so that I can handle it privately rather than allowing members to drag fights into the public.
I should probably blame myself for all this because I've been busy and cannot jump on Ventirlo as much as I used to be able to. But again; that doesn't stop someone from tell me what's going on or using the report button on the forums or using reporting on Vent. Those are tools for you to use when there is something that offends you, a member is being stupid or something is wrong. I can't be monitoring everything 24/7 because I have a life, a girlfriend and studying to do. It's not hard to take action and do the right thing by telling me that X is being mean Y. It is completely anonymous and I will respect that. Put I won't know what Z said on vent if I wasn't there now was I?
Basically; I am here to help you guys sort of things and make this community run smoother. But to do that, you need to step up and use the tools here to report things that are wrong or else they'll just keep on going unchanged.
