50% off a vet 2 pershing from a supervised Flak gun.
Full BAR squad ripped apart in 5 seconds by supervised LMG squad
Officer artillery owning support weapons every 8 minutes.
Supervised stolen .30 cal ripping apart a rifle squad in 1 burst.
Supervised shreck team doing tons of damage to a sherman.
Supervised walking stuka ripping apart a sherman and riflemen in one barrage.

This replay sais it all.

The officer may be a fragile unit but good luck even getting close to killing it when there's a good player using it.

Please watch...

Also notably, I found a bug: My vet 2 flak didn't spawn with full hitpoints for unknown reasons.

TDS, I'm aware of that bug, unable to reproduce it in a controlled environment.  Will definitely be fixed in 2.0 when the way it's built is changed.

Kool.

edit:

Witness - Unknown bitching in real time!

I recorded FRAPS of the pershing being shot by the flak at the same time Unknown was complaining about it. Haha.

Ok the father of the Pwnicer will now weigh in on this subject.

After watching the battle, I must say that Unkn0wn's team did not lose because of one unit type, they was just outplayed/countered the whole way contrary to his cries of abuse on the ingame chat.

The current state of the officer's abilities is spot on correct.  With his life expectancy and limited mobility the allies should have no problem countering or driving him off the field if they focus on removing him from the match.

What, however, is problematic is the amount of officers on the field at any one time.  There are three ways of dealing with this.  First is availability (which will not be added so it is not an option).  Second is popcap.  It was raised to 4 I believe but could be raised to the current sniper levels and still be a great choice.  Third is MU cost.  For his current ability I would say between 300-400 would still be worth having 1 or 2 Pwnicers in your company.

To recap.  The officer has ALWAYS been a fun choice for axis commanders but where as in the past they were just a novelty, now they are a force to be reckoned with.  I do not believe the current abilities need to be adjusted, just the factors that will limit the amount/use of it.

How do you suggest to counter a support officer?
Asuming he has a bike around it and his User has a Brain.

Snipers, Jeep, Howi, Airborne drop/focus fire, croc assuming no AT or limited AT, mortar barage, offmap arty.... do i really need to go on?

EDIT: The point being that you can kill ANY unit on the filed, from KT to Officer if you make it an Alpha priority.
