Jazzlizard, Saint, Salan V. Stumpster, DasNOOB, Alcapwned. Great battle on Bastion. Starts out with some very nice infantry/support weapon fights in the town, and then it evolves into an all out EPIC armor/support vehicle fight for about 8 minutes. This battle is diffidently worth your time watching it play out. Watch for the Firestorm in the town that triggers a mine that pops an m8 and wasts some infantry [attachment deleted by admin]

Excellent game, 30 action packed minutes till the end. Although I'd agree the map's a bitch to attack on. 6 very skilled players giving eachother a pounding, excellent micro, manouvering and strategy being applied throughout the game. A very balanced game too in terms of what was being fielded, I just love seeing so many tanks being deployed, always turns out in a very exciting fast-paced battle!

Watch for the Firestorm in the town that triggers a mine that pops an m8 and wasts some infantry I strongly believe if that mine hadn't gone off I would have routed you.. those rangers were doing a hell of a job.

Maybe from that fight, but trust me I had more tricks up my sleeve. Actually it was a text book example of MCP failing to make me call in even half of my army

Unkn0wn, what settings are you using, and DX10? And our those the settings you use while playing? I have an 8800GTS with 4GB and a E6600 but I run pretty moderate settings cause I'm afraid of lag...

Everything on Ultra, no DX10 because I only have an AMD 3600+ and I hate vista . Geforce 9600GT 512MB DDR3, 2 Gigs Corsair Twinx DDR RAM. I use those settings when playing yes, average FPS is around 45 - 50. (With a very min of 30 and max of 65) I'm pretty sure your 8800GTS can run on those settings too although Vista + DX10 requires significantly more out of your machine.

I think the 4GB of RAM should off-set Vista... maybe. Going to upgrade soon, not sure when and give this to my wife...

You know, there was a post somewhere that showed DX10 vs DX9 everything on high, and I couldn't even tell the difference... :-/

The difference with Dx10 for CoH is imo not significant enough either so I really didn't see a need to upgrade to Vista. Although for other games, dx10 does make a bigger difference. Don't want my 3600+ to become a bottleneck though so I'm not even going to risk upgrading to vista at this point . The 9600GT supports Dx10 so I can always consider it later.

I just looked at my settings, running Dx9 everything maxed with 8x CSAA. Guess I didn't even notice...

Lol . You must've gotten used to running the game on ultra settings. I ran the game on medium-high at most with my overclocked 7600GT so running it all maxed out on this new card made a big difference . I heard an overclocked 9600GT can outperform a 8800GT .

The main noticeable difference you'll see in CoH with DX10 is the shadows, especially in a night game that has some illumination that casts shadows.
