Also requires 500% more time to prepare and paint. DoW was fun, particularly because I used to play TT 40K and it was exciting to see the units in action. But DoW pretty much is a teching spam fest. Fun though.

It's standalone. You can't play any races but Dark Eldar or Sisters of Battle in multiplayer, but you can play any race in singleplayer.
