I have recognized the need for a more indepth pregame launcher, namely installing EiR, installing maps, installing vent, and getting it all to work up to the in game portion of the game.

for this purpose I spent most of my night making the following tutorial.... hope it helps.

Excellent tutorial.
I'm not aware of any issues with simply overwriting map files though, I do it all the time and I've never really had any issues .

This tutorial helped me out immensely! and the shoutcasts are so much fun to watch! I have to say EiR shout casts are WAY more exciting then vCoH shoutcasts. I can't wait to start playing EiR because it seems a million times better/more exciting then vCoH.
