1. How did you first discover EIR?

2. How easy/difficult was it to understand what EIR was about?

3. How quickly did you get into it? did you have a look, think nah, then come back a few days later or did you dive right in?

4. How easy/difficult was it to join the forums and set up your account and companies? how did you find the interface?

5. How easy/difficult was it to get your first game? and what did you think about your first game?

6. after a few games what do you think?

7. what are your views of the community as a whole?

8. Any comments?

Thank you for taking the time to read and hopefully answer this Smiley, i think it would be quite useful to EIR

Hi.

1: I found it on Moddb.com

2: It was simple enough, though i did spend about a 2 months reading threads before i had my first game.

3: I've played 3 games so far, hope to play more, don't have a lot of time.

4: Forum is great, simple enough to join. Setting up a company on the other hand is a pain in the ass, but got there in the end. Plenty of information out there on it, plus someone on vent always helps.

5: First game was quick to set up, had to abandon (Someone dropped on other team.) Really really enjoyable fast paced, action right from the start.

6: Really hard to get a game since mostly because i'm Axis, it seems everyone else is too. For my last game someone created an Allied account just to play me. But the game is great, i really need to play more to set up a proper company I keep running out of infantry. (10 Stormies and 10 Grens)

7: The community as a whole are friendly and welcoming on vent (To me anyway).

8: Why not have three possible starting options, Attacking, defending or Both teams starting at the same time and rushing the map?
Also i'd like to see popcap stay above 10 or fifteen to give a chance of a comeback. Popcap gets me every time!

Your welcome.

1. I used to frequent planetCoH all the time and saw something about it posted there and went to check it out. Then when I tried playing it I had all sorts of connection problems (I had a bugged router which effected my vCoH play as well) and couldn't play it, so I said screw it. Then while on the gamereplays CoH forums someone posted a shout cast for EiR and I was very curious to see what it actually looked like when people played. And watching that shout cast was far more exciting then any vCoH shout cast i saw and thought "man now that i have a new router i gotta give EiR a try again!"

2. Pretty easy I would say, especially since I had VERY good timing, and you guys have two tutorials up, and I just rejoined yesterday,

3. I got into it pretty quick. The way the doctrines work is very cool, and I think it's very neat setting up your companies. Though I messed up my resource bonus, and am almost thinking about deleting my account just so I can recreate it to get it right. I didn't realize I wouldn't need as much fuel as I have.

4. Very easy with the tutorials =), now I'm just waiting on the actual game play tutorial.

5. Haven't played one yet, I'll edit this when I do. It's my gf's birthday today, so I probably won't know for the next day or two.

I'll edit this and answer all the other questions when I find out the answers =D

1. Well... I joined up this Friday after giving it another shot. (I look at your website once before and I was discouraged because it looked WAY to complicated at that time.) and i discovered it from RelicNews.

2. To my surprise, it was pretty easy to set up (At least for me, I don't know about other people.)

3.It was very fun an exciting as this is the first Non-FPS game that I used my Mike on and the games won't drag on forever.

4. A few Months ago, by your front page of your website, it looked a bit... intimidating to say at the least. Now is much friendlier looking. (Also see #2)

5. Well I quickly learned that there were alot more Axis then Allies, but luckily enough we got this 3v3 game going. We lost unfortunately, but it was a blast to say at the least.

6. After 10 Games I say this is a very good mod and might completely switch over to it. (I guess I have been exposed too long to Uber Rangers and Commandos...)

7. At least to me they seemed friendly enough, though I guess you can find your fair share of unfriendliness towards newbies... (Though it tend to apply mostly to people without vent, but I can understand since it very hard to coordinate just only by typing.)

Just a quick survey: ReapersWarrior

1. How did you first discover EIR?
I read a small article in Games for windows but my friend got me to download the mod.

2. How easy/difficult was it to understand what EIR was about?
At first i didnt like that i had to learn how to play, but i caught on in a matter of hours.

3. How quickly did you get into it? did you have a look, think nah, then come back a few days later or did you dive right in?
After the totorial and asking some basic questions i feel that i know everything i need to know just from 1 week of playing

4. How easy/difficult was it to join the forums and set up your account and companies? how did you find the interface?
Its confusing at first and the EIR launcher is a little wonky and annoying at times, but so is vCOH.

5. How easy/difficult was it to get your first game? and what did you think about your first game?
My first game was really easy to get into and i had a whole lot of fun. But recently i cant get a quality game.

6. after a few games what do you think?
I keep comming back for more

7. what are your views of the community as a whole?
Other then a few kids who are annoying. (you guys probably can figure these people out on your own) *something you put on your head* but other then that everyone is great and i get alot of laughs.
Special thanks to Salan for being so friendly to me the first day. I think you were there too cozmo.

8. Any comments?
My finger hurts from typing with a bandaid so im gonna stop writing. but im here to stay for a while.

Good day,

1.  Mod search in google. (I think I searched for "company of heroes online")

2.  Video tutorials helped a lot. So much information is posted (video+forum). As long as some one sits down and reads what is there, everything comes together.

3.  Setup the account and did some research. Made my Alpha company, listen in on vent then after a day or so I decided to give it a shot. (I thought that if I lost units I would not be able to replace them for a long time and be stuck looking at the company details web page. Once I found out that it is not the case I was much more at ease to get into a battle.

4. Joining was straight forward.

5. Getting my first game together was not hard at all. I used the comment box in vent and also typed in the launcher. Within 15 mins or so we were all ready to go. It was fantastic, I got that heart pounding crazy rush from COH for the 1st time! I only started to play a few days ago and I can't get enough.

6. I now have 3 battles under my belt. Not much but I have seen my play improve already. Some day I will have vet units..... If I can just remember to flee screaming like a little girl instead of fighting to the last man. I have already hooked 2 friends and have forced others to pick up COH just to get into this war.

7. The guys of EIR have all been great. Theres always people there to answer questions.

8. I saw the map on the main page, is this coming soon. It would really help to get an overall picture of what is happening. To bring COH and EIR together in a more visual way would be amazing.

Thank you EIR team you have really created something that I have fallen in love with...... hmmmm a little sappy but oh well.

Not sure if this is where to post this or if it is even possible.

A. Battle map would really improve this game. (in a basic form or a more advanced way) To be able to place your company on a map and decide which territory you want to defend or attack with chance of being encircled or breaking through enemy lines. Not sure if I am making sense..... Sort of an Axis and allies board but use EIR to decide the outcome of the battles.
B. To be able to set yourself as wanting to play and the launcher randomly put you into a battle. This would help new players get battle xp.
C. Adding the map to fight on within launch message when everyone is ready to fight. Would mix up what maps we are battling on and speed things up.

1. How did you first discover EIR?
Through a post on the Relic News Forums.

2. How easy/difficult was it to understand what EIR was about?
It was pretty easy. Pick some dudes, send the on the field, and fight. The pictures pretty much explained it.

3. How quickly did you get into it? did you have a look, think nah, then come back a few days later or did you dive right in?
At first I checked it out and decided it was cool, but not cool enough to download right then and there. After a while I watched the 3v3 shoutcast that was posted recently and I gave in.
4. How easy/difficult was it to join the forums and set up your account and companies? how did you find the interface?
Joining was easy, the interface is great. I just wish my Pershing wasn't so fragile!

5. How easy/difficult was it to get your first game? and what did you think about your first game?
It took a few minutes to figure out the launcher, but it's relatively Company of Heroes, after all, just with a twist.

6. after a few games what do you think?
Great mod, great concept. I love it.

7. what are your views of the community as a whole?
I think it's awesome, everyone is open and willing to lend a hand to the newbies.

8. Any comments?

1. How did you first discover EIR?
 Discovered it whilst browsing ModDB.

2. How easy/difficult was it to understand what EIR was about?
 Extremely Easy.

3. How quickly did you get into it? did you have a look, think nah, then come back a few days later or did you dive right in?
 Dived right in. xD

4. How easy/difficult was it to join the forums and set up your account and companies? how did you find the interface?
Took me 5 Minutes to get used to the War Control Panel.

5. How easy/difficult was it to get your first game? and what did you think about your first game?
I found it annoyingly difficult. The amount of time i had to wait before we actually started up a game, was nearly an Hour. Though, once in-game, i found it extremely entertaining, and worth the wait.

6. after a few games what do you think?
There needs to be more Europeans! So we can set up games alot quicker.

7. what are your views of the community as a whole?
 Inviting, Helpful.

8. Any comments?
