People thought the Greyhound spam was bad but they haven't seen its half brother yet. Puma SPAM!

Puma spam has always been nasty, but it's not as flexible vs hard targets, which is why greyhound spam usually worked better.

The recent patch has really increase the fuel price of both.  I don't think this is that viable anymore.

WRONG!

The limiting factor to my Puma spam was actually manpower. Can you believe it? I ran out of manpower before I ran outta fuel. This forced me to get rid of a few Pumas for Pioneers and I had to buy a lame skirted Panzer 4 instead.

Well you used to get 31 of them for your fuel or manpower if you spent it all.   Now you get 20 if you spend all your fuel on it.

I used 17 Pumas on this game. The biggest difference between Pumas and Greyhounds is that Pumas don't have Raid. This is why my MP was so vital, because I needed Pioneers to cap behind me and repair a Puma or two.

Well, from the previous version, they have gone up 50% in fuel cost and have their moving multiplier moved from 0.6 to 0.75.

So overall a nerf.  A great counter to the puma is some m8s.  Smiley  Maybe we'll see more of both. Wink

It's not going to stop mass Pumas from ripping apart almost everything. Increase their pop to match Greyhound's and it'll stop the spam. Or increase the MP cost. Just watch the replay. I went through all the trouble of making a Puma spam company to prove my point.

Prior to this game, my Puma swarm killed multiple Armor Skirted M8s with the help of some Schrecks. I've killed Pershing, a Sherman, and a M10 with 3 Upgunned Pumas.

That was my Pershing you jerk!  Angry (happened in a different match)

Anyways I've yet to have a game where it survives, so don't brag too much.  Roll Eyes

It's tough to counter Pumas with M8 when they cost 2 more popcap. And yet the Puma is stronger than the M8. Makes sense.

the thing with the low, low, low MP cost of pumas is that you can still field a decent infantry army (with more then enough AT) WITH the puma spam, if you don't push it with the 20 pumas mentioned. This setupshows this: I still fielded 19 infantry units, including 8 grens and 2 stormies. Half my 15 pumas were upgunned, and I still had 4 shrecks and 2 paks.

Inefficient and easily killed if they are the least bit prepared. Don't use grens or stormies, use HMGs, Schreks are fail, use PAKs and upgunned puma's. A couple mortars, some STuHage and a pair of Nebels helps too.

Oh and don't forget to minespam if you are defending.

Only thing that can counter the allied vet.
