 ok should i go for next gen vehicles or on board mechanics i was gonna go for mechanics but since that got the nerfstick i was quite reluctant any suggestions?

Depends on your company build.
On board mechanics is far from being impressive but if you run a lot of shermans/halftracks and the like it might actually be worth getting... Next generation vehicles, don't bother, faster turret rotation is not really impressive on an allied tank so the reload is the only good thing. -
