You can trade in the Trading Post with that person, no matter how far they are.
If you send your ships to buy something, that stuff immediately becomes unavailable to other people, so you can't get beat to the resources by other players.

I am close to building an embasy, Currently i found a guy i raid for 10k-15k in gold 3-6 times a day. I have my 3rd coloney built and my level 10 town capital is at its max pop and grows at 7per hour alng with my 2nd colony at around level 6.
How do i join the allience as i have carved out some enemies, all small time and i can contribute.

Got lots of wood i could donate, how long until we others will be accepted in the alliance? Better: howl ong does it take until you get new Points? Btw, started raiding all cities on my islands, some of them want me to come into their little alliances now and others start teching up, and building troops  Edit: YEAH! Action started, my Island and several others are going to war with me |

Jesus war is expensive.
I have like 3 fools picking on my smallest colony and they are completely oblivious to the fact that I have a military score of about 30,000.
I had somewhere around 120000 gold and after fucking two of them up I am basically broke...
