heh sadly even though I am sulfur, I went economy first, so that I could easily afford to upkeep a large force, which is in the process of being build up as I type this.

Question:

If you have more cargo ships, can you pillage more?  I seem to be raping my island for only about 200 mixed units worth of stuff and really 3-10 gold each time.

I don't have a lot of experience with raiding in this game yet but by the looks of it I'm assuming there's a certain gold treshold the player needs to be above before you can actually raid a significant % of his treasury.

the forumula for gold looted is based on gold and town lvl divided by 100(maybe 1000 not sure)

Yes, the more cargo ships the more you can.  You can only pillage what is available in the city, but in order to take large amounts you will need 3-4+ ships.  Because each ship only holds 300 of anything.

DasNoob, it also depends on the level of their trading port.

If they don't have a trading port, you can only get 60 goods max.
If it's level 1, then 200, etc...

Also, it depends of their port level, the higher it is the faster thing load and the more you can pillage.
