I was playing a game, defending as axis, things seemed to be going fine. Then we got the "must capture more territory" so i send infantry... and NONE of the territory would capture, when I figure out how to post the replay I will. Both of us playing are pretty new to the game. I just don't get it, what are the conditions of playing? I thought the point of defending was to stay alive for an hour, but attacking team just looses reinforcements?

If you hold less than 10% of the map you will get a timer, its 3min, you lose after that goes down. As a Defender you can also hold for 60min and win. You cannot capture territory that the enemy has units that can capture within it.

Yes, you have to clear the enemy's infantry out before you can capture territories.

Also, the MCP system favors an aggressive defense. Keep them out of your territory as much as possible. Even if you hold  only slightly more territory than your enemy, you are still winning the battle in population.

it sounds like a supply line issue.

you have to capture everything in a line from your spawn, it has to be connected to the spawn or you can't cap from it

Ok, so I watched the replay, when we lost the ability to reinforce, that ALSO meant that we lost the ability to capture territory, which I think is kind of dumb. Why not just say game over? There is no way to make a come back if I can't capture territory.

In other words, it should say "You lose the ability to reinforce and capture territory"

Because I would of just retreated all my troops if I knew that.

Oh well, all that matters is I learned something.

Though, how do I post a replay? I wouldn't mind having some kind of mentor take a look at one of my games and tell me everything I do wrong =D

Yea Riki we had most of the territory by that time, the 60 min timer ended, but we had the 3 minute timer going against you as well.  Even as defense you have to play really aggresively.

Oh no Draygon, I'm talking about a game I played after that one with you guys. That was an intense battle though! I think I lost like 50% of my guys. That was the most fun I've had in a game too actually =D
