I played it a while too but often found myself lacking because I have no mic.

Yeah mic is pretty key. You should really just go out and buy a mic. You can probably get a functional stand-alone boom mic suitable for gaming for <$30. I know the one I use is one I canabalized from my little sister's virtual pet game Catz 3 like 4 years ago and it works great.

Go get a mic man! Not only will it help you in FH2 and PR, but also here as well! Maybe we should have a PR day as well as a FH2 day, or simply some way to get a group of us together to play one of those

Yes I concur. I am in favor of any events that combine fun games (regardless of game) with community building. This is especially the case as we wait for 2.0.

If you want realism lets go play ARMA, you won't even see an enemy for 3 hours as you walk a patrol, then later you get to simulate some sleeping and showering. The next day we do it again.

Project reality takes realism to the next level without damaging gameplay, it's amazing. And it plays a lot better than ARMA imho. CoD 4, even on hardcore is arcadish & hardly tactical.
Don't get me wrong, I like both, CoD 4 offers some great fast-paced mindless action for 30 minutes or so (that's when I get bored of it), it's perfect to kill some time. PR on the other hand is a lot more in-depth, you can keep playing for hours and it's the perfect mix between fast-paced/arcadish action and realistic gameplay.

CoD4 bitches!!
CoD 4 fails on so many levels for me. It's just like counter strike to me, no real skills other then twitch reflexes. As unknown says it's alright for about 30 minutes, then it's just too boring. I get fed up with guys spawning 2 feet behind of me after i kill them, really ruins gameplay for me. Not to toot my horn, but PR really is a perfect balance between realism and arcade shooter. You play and look at the clock and hours have gone by. It always feels exciting no matter what you are doing because every action seems important, even when you are just defending waiting for an attack, because you know when it comes it'll come hard.

Never play CoD4 on DM or TDM if you want to have any fun.
Playing the objective based modes makes it so you don't spawn behind enemies.

Even on HQ, imho one of the better gamemodes the spawns can be really annoying. Sabotage/S&D is just a campfest like CS tbh.

They are chechnyan (i apologize for the butchering of spelling!) rebels. And as far as "allies" go PR is beetter then NATO, because instead of it being a single NATO force, it's brits, and soon to be US army and US marines.

The truth is that I actually have a mic, the problem is using it. 1) I get that cracky sound which I think may be because of my crappy sound card. 2) I sleep/game/live in the same room as my brother, who unlike me needs to study alot (only weekends though). Even then I have to be silent with my typing, since I tend to bash my keyboard when typing fast.

Anyways, tell your brother to go to the libary and study Problem there: He can't study downstairs, it's too loud with the customers and all, all the other places don't have enough room for him to study in. He occasionally studies outside at the dining room when noone else is upstairs, and even then I have homework too... It's quite complicated really, but that's the main issue concerning microphone usage.

Oh I'm glad I live where I live.... Much better equipment by standard here. To PR: played it once, I have to admit running around shooting like an idiot works best on close maps as NO one EVER expects you to do just that. On an other Note: That mod fried my sound driver, and now I can't select X-FI as soundsupporter. And only 96 bit sound anymore... sucks. Nice mod though. Just too slow, insurgency is faster.
