I saw a post for the empires mod, and if you want something that is realistic, check out project reality (www.realitymod.com) I am a dev (retired) from over there. And CoH inspired a lot of ideas that we put into PR. It's a modern combat FPS, that has RTS elements. Each team can have a commander who helps build outposts, AA guns, razor wire, and sand bags. The team is broken up into squads, and each squad has a SL who sets up rally points which allows you to spawn in on them. The is A LOT to this mod, huge maps, use of close air support with your team members, realistic ballistics, tons and tons of other stuff.

If you like FPS, and you like vehicles, but hate how unrealistic and dumb BF2142 or BF2 can be check out this mod, it's amazing. We also won some moddb awards and some other awards too.

I'm going to look around for the most recent videos/trailers we have, I sadly don't think we have any for our last release (.75).

This is a video of a bomb that you only see once and a while (an hour into battle I think)

http://www.realitymod.com/forum/f12-project-reality-news/24155-project-reality-v0-6-promo-video-eax-info-v0-6-server-release-update.html
Here is our trailer for our .6 release.

The mod has the best sound effects I've heard in any game. If you got any questions about it I can answer.

Yeah great mod, I am a constant player, and let me tell you that if you like realism, teamwork, cool vehicles and great sounds and you own BF2 then it is a no brainer to d/l this mod. If you can get working with a great squad you will have games that will leave you feeling tired, and like you just got done fighting a real war.

On a side note: If you want a WWII COH-like BF2 experience you can check out Forgottenhope 2 a WWII mod for BF2, and a great one. Google Forgotten Hope 2 (FH2) to find the website, it isn't forgottenhope2.com

I've played PR before, and I can say that I've loved the command assets. However, the levels are just too freakin' big. It takes more than 20 minutes on foot to cross each of the levels.

For a while, I liked it, but I became annoyed by the NECESSITY of vehicles and their infrequent respawning.

On another note, it IS realistic as hell, almost as much as Insurgency (A Hl2 Mod designed by a soldier who returned from Iraq), and the vehicle combat is fun. It's also nice to corner a squad and mow them all down with a machine gun. The only problem is when YOU die and have to wait 30 seconds to get back in, and then 5-20 minutes to get into combat again.

You should play RO on one of those new beta Tank Map (Altie Zeglei), it a HUGE map and I find myself in fights from about 500m~1000m and it isn't fun when you basically get oneshotted by an IS-2 or a Tiger/Panther and have to roll back there in a slow tank.

Put your game names up and what server you frequent.

[RDev]RikiRude

I usually play tactical gamer server, or tactics and teamwork.

I used to play this on a competetive level with a 'realism" clan.
They moved to ArmA but I never followed.

Use a T34. I've killed two Panthers, a Tiger, and a P4 with one once before going down. They're pretty much the best tank in the game.

Yeah, a T-34 is especially good on that map since it is basically the fastest tank in-game and has a decent punch to come along with it..

I've played my fair share of PR and FH2 both are great games.
I always seem to become an engineer squad leader since noone else ever builds things for the commander

I haven't played FH2 yet, I know PR and FH2 have shared some resources. I am going to go DL FH2 right now, I waited so long for it, then purposely forgot about it so I wouldn't be tortured thinking about it.

Goddamn saint, don't get me into this Wink.

You gotta get into vent, I need a good FPS teammate that understands teamwork, unlike Apex haha.

If you want to have good tactics join Tactical Gamer---Tactics and Teamwork---Texas Teamplayers can have its good moments---and if you speak some German Thors Brigade is a good one, but knowing German is important. If you are in one of the first 3 servers you can look for my squad "VOIP Body".
