However I have seen a german dive for cover and land on a nade, he suffered more then a bloody nose tho Wink

Didn't a US marine do the same a few months ago with his helmet instead except he died. It seems like diving into grenades is a trend for modern soldiers...

I can attest to the vest.  40 lbs. 2 inch thick compressed kevlar, will take a round from an ak47, when wearing the attachments to it you can only move your head about half way left and right, you cant get your arm above your head, your weapon doesnt fit right against the shoulder, so firing is off, and the nut cup piece is completely worthless.  it offers no protection on the sides, so an abdomen shot is still possible.

All in all, more pain than its worth.  also messes up your back so chiropractic visits are necessary.
