The irony in this is pleasing.
The same people who say that your noob team should play against the top leaderboard people just to get a game going are refusing to play against a certain unit, even if that's what it would take to get a game going!

Back in the days people would build a company with the sole purpose of killing that thing instead of whining about it.
If this becomes a new trend in how players deal with what they conceive as balance issues than it's going to send the current community atmosphere down the drain fast. Let's see which units gets blacklisted next!
P.S: Pzkrieger, don't worry, I'll play against you

Well, lets hear it! The KT and Tiger are slow lumbering beasts, the Panther expansive, but awesome. And you can't field a lot of anything when you have it on field.
Tell me, what weakness does the calliope have that is so great?

^^ its because "we are all the balance team now"
And new frequency of patches means players can just boycott something till it is fixed, when patches were less frequent players were like "it may be fixed, but it will take a while, IL just adapt" so they made the companies designed to kill said unit. now they just wait for the patch that will come sooner rather than later.

Making a company solely to suicide a vet unit is not good Unkn0wn, in fact I would say its crap for gameplay. I do however have a Calliope killing company, its not going to win a game but its not meant too. Its there to kill a vet Calliope before it can get away.

Except, with the 700F cost of a calliope, after killing it you'll likely stand a good chance winning the game.
Doesn't even need to be 'suiciding', a well coordinated team should have little issue dealing with it, the main problem is you'll have to take risks and that's where the majority of the current axis (and even allies in simular scenarios) get chickened out. (The 'I don't want to risk my vet' for the greater benefit of the team mentality)

Again, my Panther doesn't even have to hit the field to win a game. So why should they need a Calli?

Maybe you should bother actually calling it in and using it then.

So you cry about not being able to counter the calliope when in fact you're not even using one of the best counters, with simular cost and experience, to try and beat it to begin with? That's pretty sad.

Man, I don't know how to beat nebelwerfers with my rifle spam, I'm just not going to play against it, just like I can't HMG hop against a calliope. Not playing against either, so unfair!

That wasnt the point of his statement.
The point was that its not a deciding factor in the game WITH the same cost and experience.

Why would I throw a unit away to do it? Now when I have the chance I will. In my last battle I ran the Calli down with my Panther, but only after the ATGs had been dealt with.

The calliope wouldn't get to be a deciding factor in the game if he would bother using that unit with the same cost & experience as a counter.
And then his panther would become a deciding factor in the game because it was capable of dealing with the biggest threat and the 'CalliOP'.

but only after the ATGs had been dealt with.
So I suppose his calliope always has a 360° AT gun perimeter surrounding it?
That's funny because when I use calliopes, I often have to drive around and those are generally my most vulnerable moments...

Actually, heavy tanks are not a deciding factor because they can be avoided, they do not have the reach out and touch you range artillery does.

That's rubbish, you don't just 'avoid' a heavy tank.
In addition, you don't want to 'suicide' or even risk a unit that (as you said yourself) normally you don't even need in combat anyway?
You're making absolutely no sense.

I use it when appropriate, last game it came out,
hugged all the bunnies
, and left when it was not longer useful (killed Calliope, triage, bunch of rangers with zooks, then left when they started spamming ATGs)
