We all joined the launcher, we all readied up and found out who we were fighting against.

at this point, myself, darkmaster, slowzo vrs libertine, chef and anthony went to our battle room.  Except anthony wasn't on vent.   He had just posted a forum message as well.

Anthony also didn't show up to the battle, all 5 of us sitting there waiting.  I don't have all the time in the world to sit and wait for someone like this.  I wasted 15 mins waiting for someone who I assume didn't want to fight the odds.

I couldn't force the other two to fight us 2 on 3, I'm not that much of a dick. But something needs to be done for shit like this, you ready up in the fight, you fight it or you get a loss.

forget who it is, or even WHY it was.  If someone readies up, they are commited.  They should get a loss for their side if they fail to show up.

the problem is what about technical errors of a new player?  sadly it should still be a loss for that side, because you can't control for those variables.

I suggest a steep vet penalty to him, that way he is an example others that also abuse this.  I say take away 200-300 vet from him, which would drop all his units to vet 1 or vet 0.  He wants to play easy games, then he can have easy to kill units.

Just my thoughts on it.

lets forget about it being anthony, and just deal with the actual problem ...   Stiff penalties should be enforced, the community will police itself if someone causes problems for others enough times.

You can check my account history, i dont play "easy games" all that often.  This was simply a miscommunication.  I never intended to play that battle.  I went to hit leave and hit ready on accident, then left to go grab some lunch.  I just got back to find this message.

You wanna have a vet penalty go for it...  You wanna wipe my company? go for it.  I needed to reorganize my companies anyway  And to tell you the truth I have no vet 3's atm anyway, some vet 2's and mostly vet 1's.  But thats besides the point.

Truth be told however, im not sure I woulda wanted to fight that battle anyway, ive never played with eather of those two guys on my team, against 2 vet players.  If you wanna put harsh penelties in then you should atleast be able to see your opponents and pick whether you wanna fight or not.  If at that point you ready up and leave then sure, penalize away.  Other than that I think the whole thing is screwed, everything is hidden is a joke.

Anthony has a tendency of AFKing in the launcher and frequently skips out on vent during crucial times such as the pre-game launch.

Whether it is on purpose or not, I do not know.

I'm just going to give him the benefit of the doubt. For now...

Recently I have just been staying out of vent until the game actually starts, for various reasons.  Sometimes I just find the vent chatter not really to my liking etc.  I will always get on vent once the game fills up though.

I guess what it comes down to is next time you "accidentally" hit the ready button, and then are prompted to start a game that you feel is unfair/don't want to play in, it would be nice if you let the people you are playing with know you don't intend to play before wasting 20 minuets of their time.

Well that is two strikes for Anthony.  He did the same thing to us the other night when he readied up and then found out who his allied opponents were and refused to play the game.  The really funny thing was that our combined average was like 33% because we were making new companies to try out callie spam, and 3 axis were in and ready in like 20 seconds because they thought they would be playing noobs.  Then it was like... "i'm not playing you guys"  so i guess we can put Anthony in the = noob basher category?
